Let me be honest, I'm not familiar with Kiyamas but based on what I watched from while entire series, Rantato(Honcho) as the firstborn Kiyama seems to be raised strictly by his parents. We can see how he reacts in BeyBurst Sparking when Ranjiro injured his arm. We all can see how parental figure he was to Valt back then and now to the Bombers.

"Taro? Are you going out again?"

"I'll be at Murasaki's! I'll be back before ten!"

Mrs Kiyama sighed, ever since his oldest son join Beyclub at school, he barely home for lunch. Now with the National tournament coming up ahead, he hardly stays home for dinner!

At least he got good grades in every subject so she doesn't have to scold him every day. Ranjiro blink staring at the door where his brother left and back to his mother who mumbled something he couldn't understand. Mr Kiyama chuckled but ended up laughing after seeing how frustrated his wife was.

What a happy family. Ranjiro knows the secret very well even from such a young age. The Mother, Kiyama Ran a loving mother and the Father, Kiyama Kou, is a strict police officer and also the head of the Kiyama Family. Ranjiro know his father well, how hard the man would do anything for his family and he know, his brother would do the same.

That's why their first ancestor make a deal with a spirit to take care of the family but ends up being a spirit trapped in a Bey which hides it from the outside world.

Roktavor.

He remembered how his brother introduce him to the beast spirit, more like he accidentally stumbled into his big brother's bedroom. A beast with claws and its wings folded behind its back. Its piercing glowing sharp blue eyes which glow in the dark stare at him like an eagle watching their prey.

He is scared, but somehow, his brother isn't scared about the beast's presence at all. Instead, the beast spirit bows, greetings.

What the hell?

Rantaro pulls his brother to face the spirit. The older one can tell the younger one is trembling.

"Ranjiro, This is Roktavor, the guardian of our family"

Rantaro say with calming tone as the spirit flew closer to the brothers. He can hear the spirit's breath near his face making him take a step back.

"Guardian of our family..?"

The spirit chuckles, feeling amused by the younger question.

"True, I have been a guardian for the Kiyama family for twelve generations. I made a deal with your ancestor, to protect the Kiyama family at all cost."

Ranjiro blinked. Roktavor made a deal to take care of the family for generations. He stared at the beast spirit making Rantaro chuckles in amusement. Rantaro put a hand on his little brother's shoulder and smile at him.

"Roktavor has to hide in bey from the outside world you see. Promise me and Roktavor you won't tell anyone including your friends. Promise?"

Ranjiro glance at Roktavor who stare at him with a hopeful look. He nodded.

"I promised"

"Once you get your own Beyblade, you will understand the importance of Roktavor in our family"

A few years later...

"Oi, Ranjiro? How long do you want to stare at nothing?"

Rantaro stares at the broom-haired blader. After the battle between them and the Asahi brothers, the Kiyama brothers decide to take a break at their house. It's quite tiring dealing with those bladers by themselves.

"Those two will take my training to a whole other level! Dang, I was grateful Hikaru act rationality than his brother or not, both of them remind me of Aiga"

Ranjiro scoffed while Rantaro chuckled. Impressed with his little brother's achievement, dealing with the Asahi brothers is surely tiring, but most importantly, it was fun.

"Feel my pain, brother"

"I could say, those two are very interesting to me. Unfortunately, they still have a long way to go before they reach the top."

Roktavor suddenly appears in the air. His face show nothing but the brothers knew, the Bey spirit was tired too. They laugh and enjoyed each other company but soon the brothers laugh and exchange a soft snore. Roktovor smiled, his body glows gold, disappearing into his Bey.

"Rest well, Bladers. May tomorrow bring more adventure for us"

With that, the Kiyama brothers and Roktavor fall asleep.
