Appearance: Otto has short blue-black hair, pale-fair complexion, naturally black eyes, lean build, though nineteen he appears to be physically that of a twelve to fourteen year old, and stands at about 5'5 ½". He has a few scars here and there, mostly faded now, and a rough odd looking scar on his left calf. 

Apparel: Otto isn't much into fashion and sports a dark blue sweater under a long dark grey coat, black cargo pants, dark brick-brown hiking boots, and a white scarf wrapped around his waist tied at his left hip. 

Personality: somewhat reclusive, wary of strangers, stubborn, can be temperamental, inquisitive, somewhat inventive, headstrong, iron-willed, can get highly attached to those who get to know him, protective , defensive, and can be eccentric at times.

Dragon Force: Otto's eyes turn bright yellow-green with slitted pupils, slight claws and fangs appear, shoulders/arms/back/chest appear to have dark dusky grey-black scales, large bat-like dark grey-black wings appear on his back, ears are slightly pointed, and a long slim grey-black tail appears.

Otto's mother and father were divorced when he was an infant and in the end his father's parents got custody of him. He lived with his grandparents in an old log cabin and hardly saw his parents except on rare occasions. Suffering from social anxiety he never really made many friends as a child, though has in more recent times gotten better with it. Otto went wandering around in the forest behind his home one rainy day and eventually got caught in a sudden thunderstorm. He took shelter under a tree after getting lost and not much later a nearby tree was struck by lightning. It fell on top of his shelter and the tree he was under came crashing down. He tried to run but got pinned when the smaller tree landed on his leg, trapping him. After a while he was eventually rescued by a passing dragon who held him until the storm had passed. The dragon kept his frightened self safe and once the storm was over took him back home before leaving. Weeks later the dragon returned to ask the boy if he'd like to learn from him and train under him. Otto accepted the offer a day later and said goodbye to his grandparents to go live with the dragon, (though would still visit on occasion), and would later become who he is today. 

Other:
- loves blueberries and hates pineapple
- is always attempting to locate the night constellations but can hardly ever see them himself
- loves the sound of a flowing river or stream

Name: Av'an (ahv-on)

Sexuality: heterosexual

Appearance: Av'an is roughly the size of a Clydesdale, has a lean build, pale bright yellow eyes, dark grey-black scales, large bat-like wings with three "fingers" and one "thumb" on each (and that drag the ground when folded), has three "fingers/claws" and one "thumb/dewclaw" on each foot, has a long slim tail, expressive and very pointed ears, a few small horns along the back of his jaw, and four horns on his head (two long and sharp, two small and more rounded).

Personality: calm, collected, observative, attentive, inquisitive, patient, can be blunt, hates laziness, doesn't tolerate disrespect, and always honors his word.
