Spoiler for The Experiment

This chapter is dedicated to all my poor readers who I left on a cliffhanger. First of all, I'm sorryyyyyyy. I know I haven't been writing, but I'll try to start again soon. And also, by the way, new cover!! I really hope you guys like the new one.

Anyways, here's what you guys came here for: a spoiler of the next chapter

It didn't take her long to find Amari and Wyne. After barely half an hour of following footprints, she found the two of them chatting, leaning against trees.

Katrina snuck up behind them, intending to give them a scare, but Amari raised her hand up at the last moment.

"Katrina, you can't sneak up on us. Superhuman senses, remember?"

Katrina stopped in her tracks, scratching her head embarrassingly. "Right, I forgot about that. Anyways, how are you two?"

"We are doing well, thanks to you," Amari replied gratefully. "I cannot thank you enough for what you did."

"Yeah, well, I have bad news." Katrina shrugged. Amari's and Wyne's expressions immediately tightened as they glanced at each other uneasily.

"What is it?"

"Celia knows that you two are alive, and she sent me to kill you." Katrina winced at the bluntness of her words. "So... I guess I have to kill you. Sorry."

Katrina stepped forwards towards Amari, grabbing her arm. Without a second thought, she sliced the skin of Amari's wrist open, revealing blood pouring out in currents.

Amari hissed as Katrina yanked her dagger out of her body, carefully digging a small, silver piece of metal out of the flesh. Katrina tucked it into her fist, snapping it cleanly in half.

Katrina gave Amari a small push backwards, sending her a look. Amari's eyes widened, catching on quicker than Katrina could've hoped. She stumbled back, falling to the ground and gave a dramatic last breath.

Wyne looked at the two of them, obviously confused, before he caught onto the plan too. He slowly backed up, widening his eyes as Katrina grabbed him and did the same thing. As she dug out his tracking device and destroyed it, she breathed a sigh of relief.

Katrina stared at the two "dead" bodies in front of her, hoping that her plan had worked. If Celia's information was accurate, then by destroying the two tracking devices, the cameras following Amari and Wyne would stop recording, allowing the pair to survive as long as they didn't go near anyone else in the Experiment.

Without further ado, Katrina left the area, making sure to slyly drop the pieces of the trackers into a bush, hoping that the scientists didn't catch onto her plan.

I know it's short, but it's all that I've written so far. I swear I'll update soon! Until then, bye!
