Ah yes. Look at Josh In all his prideful, jerkful glory. He needs to take a chill pill. I do have to admit that his expression is on point. Look at him. "I am so amazing. Bow down to me you peasents." ugg. 

I think my dad hates Josh more than I do. He thinks I should completely change Josh in the next draft so he isn't as "heartless" as he puts it. (hahahahaha... Josh, heartless... hahahahahahahahahaha I wish I could explain to you why this is so hilarious... hahahahahahahahahaha)

I think I'm going to keep him the way he is, no matter how hard it gets for me as the writer, and somehow do a really big eye-opening 360 character change that will make everybody love him. That will be hard, but since he has somehow become the main character he should have the biggest character change (And Zack's is REALLY BIG so he has a lot to do) and just having him be cool the whole way though would be kind of boring.

In the first drafts of my book Zack was the main character and there was no multiple point of veiws and Josh was actually the antagonist. But having Zack as the p.o.v. in the first chapter just didn't seem right as he was dissoriented and everything and I also struggled with somehow pointing out that Josh's family had just died when he met Josh. I just felt like we needed to be there when they died, not just have it added after the fact. I tried the first chapter in Josh's p.o.v. and WOOSH off we go I actually got past the first chapter. 

But since Josh has the first chapter it makes it feel like he's the protagonist. And since he was originally designed to be the antagonist it makes him a very bad protagonist.

And that is how Josh shoved poor Zack out of the spotlight so he could get more attention.

I plan to get rid of most of Josh picking on Zack for no reason. And I think Josh being the protag kind of works. He'll be the protagonist in this book, Aiden's the protagonist in the next one (Can't wait can't wait I've finally got the basic plot outline figured out) and then Heather's the protagonist in the third, and that would be the end of the series but I might do companion series, like with different characters generations into the future and stuff. Zack isn't a protagonist in any of them because... well... never mind.

Question that I'm sure none of you will answer... do any of you like Josh at all? I always wonder who everyone's favorite character is if they have one. My favorite is Zack. (obviously... (should the author have favorites? It seems like a bad idea...)) My brother really likes Aiden. My sister is obsessed with Anna-claire. Sabrina would actually literally kill me if I ever killed puddijello. I don't know anyone else's opinions.
