Pirate lovers

Finally, the captain thought as her ship pulled in and docked at her hometown. Finally, she'll see her again.

As soon as the ship docked, she sent the crew out to do as they pleased for a day, deciding to tidy up that night or the next day.

While she walked down the dock, she heard squeals of delight as her crew members were reunited with their families. She smiled slightly, she liked seeing the people closest to her happy again, especially after many months of misery. 

The sound of fast approaching footsteps snapped the captain out of her thoughts and she turned around in time to catch a woman running into her arms.

The captain tightened her grip around the woman, sighing happily and smiling in content as she was finally back in the arms of her lover. She felt the arms wrapped around her tighten as well.

"I missed you, mi amore," the captain whispered.

"I missed you more, darling," the maiden whispered back.

"Not possible. Did you know that you are the reason I am still alive?"

"What do you mean?"

"We were attacked at sea, and we were losing, but then I remembered that I have to see your beautiful face again before I die." She paused. "I love you, angel."

"I love you more, beautiful."
