"Dracula is hosting a masquerade ball, the entire castle will be full of vampires pretending to be aristocrats." said Anna. Van was messing with his crossbow, he wanted dracula and his brides dead more than Anna. But most of all he wanted Y/N back, he didn't admit it that he was falling for her. Anna suspected his feelings towards her, but she didn't say anything knowing it would only piss him off even more. 

"And he's choosing a bride, no doubt it will be Y/N." he said finally. "We must free her from dracula's grasp before he turns her. If he turns her it will be too late, she will be under his command and will be bound to him for eternity." 

Anna looked outside, the sun would be setting shortly. "Then we have no time to spare." she said, drawing her sword. Van grabbed his crossbow and left with Anna towards the castle, proceeding with the plan to kill dracula. 

Inside the castle the ball commenced, Y/N was dancing with dracula. All the while they danced he was flirting with her, going on about how he wanted Y/N to become his bride. During the waltz, he dipped her, his lips dangerously close to her neck. "I won't let you drain me count!" she hissed. 

"I have no intention to drain you," he said, his Hungarian accent irritating her. "We would make a lovely couple, I am looking for a new bride Y/N. Someone, strong, beautiful."  

He was about to go for her neck when Van grabbed onto the trapeze and swept her off her feet, setting dracula on fire in the midst of it all. He cried out in pain as the fire pained him, screaming at his brides to attack. 

"Van?" she said, shocked it was him. "Why did you come? I was perfectly fine where I was." 

"I couldn't let dracula have you." he said. 

"Why? what do you care?" without hesistation Van dropped his crossbow and pulled her close, kissing her quickly. She resisted at first but then melted into the kiss, something she admitted that she wanted for a while. Van pulled away to say "Because I love you Y/N." he said. his eyes soft and full of love. He looked to his right, seeing that the brides were after him. "Now is not the time, we must get out of here." He pushed her towards Anna. 

"Go! get out of here!" he ordered. She and Anna ran off while Van fought off the brides. 

"Van really does love me." you said while running with Anna. 

"I know I saw, let's talk about that later."
