This is another odd bit. This is an AU based around the time travel machine being stolen. In this AU, Grian doesn't team up with Renbob to get Villager Grian and the time machine back. Instead, he gets the help of Cub.

 Cub is this AU is a bit more suspicious and cautious. He's also more into magic and potions (also a bit of a paranoid man when it comes to losing people he cares about). Grian and Cub manage to get to the outskirts of the building before Cub's bear instincts go off. He uses magic to turn Grian into a weird cat, bird, and fish hybrid.

 In a paranoid panic that he'll lose Scar's loyalty, Cub leaves a transformed Grian behind. Grian gets discovered by Scar and put into a small aquatic cell. The now easily scared Grian, due to his cat-bird behavior, is slowly snapped in and out of his new feral behavior. 

 TFC, who was secretly locked inside the facility along with Wels and Zedaph, sees the weird cat-thing. Even though TFC enjoys being in an air conditioned place, he wants to work on his base's experiments. Wels and TFC recognizes the dark magic used on Grian, and the three normal-ish men decide to try and break out.

 Meanwhile with Mumbo and Iskall, the two team up with Ren in order to figure out the mysteries behind area 77.
