The void was a deadly place.

Whether you were condemned to it through banning like Xemon once was, or whether it decided to claim you when you had fallen into its grasp.

Gem had heard of Lizzie's descent into the void. But she didn't want to believe in it. They'd been friends for years, so learning of how she was trapped, didn't sit right with her.

And, of course, it had to happen to her as well. 

She'd fallen. It was painful, yes. But it hurt more, knowing the others had to have moved on from the server by now. 

It made sense. It took years to get out of the void's clutches. Months if you were lucky. 

And someone else has to get you out. You can't do it yourself. 

Which hurt Gem even more. 

Because she could tell no one was trying to get her out.
