Legit, I thought I would go Golden Deer for my first time playing 3H, but I fell in love with all the Blue Lions students and now I can't see myself as anyone else. Also the memes of 3 houses have been getting to me.
Here's our boy Dimitri (Pre-time skip)

~Reader POV~
It was a typical day at Garreg Mach Monastery, and my class of the Blue Lions were hard at work during our typical daily training routine. Ashe was practicing his archery with Mercedes and Anette watching, Ingrid was working on her lance skills with Sylvain, and Felix was in a heated sparring session with Dimitri.
Meanwhile, I was practicing with Dedue on my sword skills. He was holding a lance; not his typical weapon of choice, but I asked him to use it so I could get better at battling against lances.
I took a swing, and Dedue blocked, so I feinted an attack, and managed to get Dedue in the back. Obviously not hurting him, it was just a practice weapon, but still getting him.
"(Y/N), I don't wish to disappoint you, but perhaps I am not the best lance partner to spar with." The Duscur man spoke in his foreign sounding voice. "Perhaps you would be best with His Highness to spar with."
"O-Oh, Dimitri?" I asked shakily. "Maybe I'll wait..."
I was hiding my hand behind my head, and a red blush hit my face. Truth was, I loved Dimitri, but I always kept to the side and watched him from afar. He liked me also, but as a fellow student friend kind of way, not the same as I did. I loved him, but silently pined from far away. His blonde hair, his grace and skill, his personality, I would gush over.
"You won't get better if you do not practice against someone who knows the weapon." Dedue insisted. "I am unfortunately not able to handle the lance as well as His Highness, so I suggest you try and ask him for assistance."
"W-well, If your so s-sure." My voice was all flustered. I looked over, and the boar prince was in a pretty good sparing match with Felix. Sweat dripped from Dimitri and flung off his head to shimmer in the light. My legs shook and I felt in awe watching him. I wanted to just keep watching his spar, but I decided I needed to ask him for help.
I was nervous, I had never asked Dimitri to spar with me. I always would get too flustered around him, and I would be unable to focus. I approached behind him, trying to keep away.
"H-h-hey Dimitri..." I quietly asked.
I took a step back as he did to dodge an attack from Felix. "Um, Dimitri...?" I asked a little louder.
He was laser focused on his fight with Felix, not even seeming to notice me at all.
"Dimitri..."
"I'll get to... urgh!" He spoke up finally. He must have heard me. I approached closer behind him.
"Oh you h-heard me!" My voice shook. "OK, well I w-was wondering i-if y-you would--"
In that moment, Dimitri dodged to the left, and I saw Felix running at me. Then, it all happened so fast.
Felix took a swing, and completely cut me open with his sword. The metal tore into my flesh, and blood began to flow. Clothes torn and force of the strike pushed into me.
"GRAHH!" I screeched in pain. A large, diagonal cut from my left shoulder all the way to the right front of my hip, had been opened. The look on Felix's face was something I had never seen before; fear. He instantly stopped dead in his tracks when he realized what he had done, and stared at me with his mouth open. Almost like he was shocked at his own strength, and in horror at what he did.
It was like time paused for a second, as I tried to stand. I took a shaky step back, and fell to the ground on my side. Dimitri turned and saw the horrifying sight, I'd never seen his eyes so wide. "(Y/N!!)" He screamed, throwing down his lance and rushing over.
My scream must have gotten everyone's attention, as all eyes turned to us.
My vision was darkening and I had a metallic taste in my mouth. Dimitri knelt down to me, holding my upper body. "(Y/N)! (Y/N)! Speak to me!" He yelled, a tone of fear in his voice. "Mercedes!!" He yelled. I began to feel myself coughing up blood. I felt horrible for coughing up on the prince, my blood getting over his uniform, but it was hard for me to focus on that when my body was overturned with pain.
It was hard for me to see, and became hard to hear. My heartbeat thumped in my ears, and spots of black covered my vision. I could only make out basic shapes from the outlines of my fellow students whom were standing over me, as finer details became a blur. I was sat up, and saw Mercedes come over. "Heal!" She tried her magic. But it seemed to do little, as my blood did not stop flowing and the tears did not stitch itself. "It's not working!" Mercedes held her hands over her mouth and a look of fear etched her face.
"What even happened?!" Sylvain yelled.
"(Y/N), Stay with us!" Dedue called out.
"Open your eyes, (Y/N)!" Dimitri yelled. "Open your eyes!!"
It was hard for me to keep awake, despite Dimitri desperately trying to shake me to keep my mind from drifting. I felt a chill going over me; a chill very similar to the one that would come with Faerghus winter.
"C-c-cold... so... c-cold..." I muttered. Was this the chill of death coming for me?
Through cold darkness, I felt something drop on my face; a tear. I tried to look up, and despite my vision being blurry, I had noticed Dimitri doing something he never did before;
Cry
Dimitri was crying over me. His lips were moving, and words echoing in my head. "Hold on, (Y/N)! Please hold on!" He begged. My senses began to dull, My hearing was going fast, replaced by a harsh ringing. It was hard to keep my eyes open, yet Dimitri kept shaking me. There were cloths being pushed to apply pressure to parts of the wound, as everyone was talking over each other.
Unfortunately, I could not make out anything that was being said as the ringing had taken over and now was just white noise. I knew Dimitri was talking, but nothing was being heard except the harsh ringing.
The feeling of exhaustion and sleepiness came over me like a wave. I couldn't fight this, no matter how hard I tried. This was it, this was my end. Finished off by my own classmate. Despite the violent shakes to keep me awake, my body was shutting down. I was already soaked in my own blood, I had a massive gash on my chest, and my heartbeat could only go down now that major blood vessels had been hit.
By now, it was just darkness, yet I felt hands over me. People putting stuff on my chest in hopes to steed the blood, but it futile. My sense of touch finally faded, and now, all I felt was the cold embrace of death.
~Dimitri POV~
"HURRY! Go get Manuela!!" I demanded. Ashe instantly went running off, and just at the same time, Professor Byleth came back in the training hall, only to see all his students gathered in the center.
"I leave you kids for 5 minutes and this happens?!" Professor Byleth yelled, though yelled more in panic rather then anger. He leaned down next to (Y/N) and tried to stall the blood flow with their jacket.
"Please!! Hold on (Y/N)! Just a little longer!" I begged for them to stay. I began to tear off parts of my blue cape and place them over the wound. It was all too much; the cut was at least 1 inch in, probably deeper in some spots. It was extremely close to cutting her heart open. Oh (Y/N), why did you get in our way?!
I turned and saw Felix, who had not moved since he cut (Y/N). He still stood in shock, wide eyed and mouth open, horrified at what he did. I wasn't angry at him for this, I knew it was an accident, but he would never forgive himself for such an act.
"Felix, why did you go so hard?! It was a spar!" Sylvain yelled like Felix was an idiot.
"No Sylvain, don't." I insisted. "I told him to not hold back, it's my fault. I also insisted we use real weapons, rather the the training ones."
"No, its (Y/N)s fault for getting in your way, Dimitri." Byleth insisted. "They should have waited for you to finish."
"Professor, not now, I beg of you." I demanded. "I can't forgive myself for this."
I was gasping for air, and tears fell from my eyes. I held (Y/N)s upper body in my arms, begging the goddess to keep her alive. I couldn't handle the burden of if my classmate died because of my ignorance. But if I felt this horrible for just being ignorant, I can only imagine what Felix is thinking.
"I-I... I thought I told... told them to wait... to stay... away..." My voice shuddered. "P-Please..." I felt my tears dripping from my eyes onto their face.
"By the goddess, what happened?!" A new voice called out. Turning, all of Manuela, Rhea and Hanneman had come to see what went down, and all three in complete shock at the sight.
They instantly began to rush over, and saw the pool of blood that had formed. "Oh no..." Manuela was holding her hand over her mouth as she knelt down. "H-Heal." She struggled to get out. Rhea also tried her healing magic.
I saw as the white light began to go over the wound, but it was very slow to do anything. It was like the magic itself was struggling to work with how large the injury was. Mercedes also pitched in, to try and help save her. With three healers at once, I finally saw the wound begin to seal.
It would grow smaller and seal as the white streams went over it multiple times. The few minutes the magic was working felt like hours, as watching (Y/N) boarder life and death was horrifying to watch.
I never told anyone this, but... I had feelings for (Y/N). I tried to not show it, and I didn't tell anyone else, but I did have feelings for her. When she first joined the academy, I didn't think much of them. She was clumsy at first; having had very little battle experience, but she would grow. She would learn, take the advice given, and I watched as she made staggering improvements. I came to enjoy seeing her improve and her pride she took when she managed to win in any kind of spar with knowledge she learned from us. Even if she was knocked to the ground, she would try again, always pushing herself to try harder.
I didn't think (Y/N) was as close to the fight as she was when she tried to talk to me, but I was wrong. My dodge had caused her to be caught in the crossfire. By now, the last of the wound was sealing, leaving scarring tissue. "It's closed for now, but it won't last for long. Get her to the infirmary so I can do more for her." Manuela insisted. I nodded, and lifted up (Y/N) in my arms, her blood from her clothes dripping on my hands and leaving a trail as we walked.
"Please goddess, if you are watching, let her live..." I whispered. I quickly took a glance to Felix, who hadn't moved from his spot, just kept his horrified look at (Y/N) and I as we walked out towards the infirmary.
~Reader POV~
It was cold as I was finally regaining my senses. I felt myself freezing in the dark embrace, and I had a hard time getting my bearings. Was this what death was? Did the goddess forget me and so I wander in darkness for the rest of time?
Wait, I hear something. I hear someone talking but... I cannot make out the voice. All I know is someone is trying to say something. I also felt someone grabbing my hand, holding it tightly with two of their own. Suddenly, a surging pain across my chest erupted. I couldn't move myself to feel, but it felt like it was a throbbing pain, mixed with the burning of fire. I wanted to call for help, but my voice would not speak.
But I did not give up. I pushed my will more to get up and out of this darkness. If I was feeling someone holding onto me, it meant I was alive. I twitched ever so slightly, to give a sign I was alive.
"(Y/N)? A-are you waking?" A shivering but muffled voice asked. I felt someone place their hand over my forehead, seemingly brushing my bangs out of my face. "(Y/N) please come back." The voice was more clear this time.
I managed to open my eyes, fluttering them slowly to get the debris out. Now all my senses were back. I could smell the scent of dusty woods and medicine, I was looking up at the ceiling, the taste of metal was gone.
"(Y/N)..." a voice called my name. I turned to my left and saw the boar prince kneeling at my bedside, holding onto my hands with a shocked expression on his face. An expression that turned to joy when he saw me finally turn to him.
"D-Di-Dimitri...?" I struggled to get out. I felt cough coming up, and strained my breaths to get it out. After it died down, I saw the blue eyed prince begin to smile, and tears of happiness fell.
"(Y/N)! Oh by the goddess, you survived!" He gripped my hand tighter.
"Where...? W-What...?" I couldn't even speak coherently at the moment.
"Shhh, please (Y/N)." Dimitri hugged me gently, trying not to cause pain. "You lost a massive amount of blood. I'm frankly shocked your awake so soon. Take it easy."
I wasn't sure what he was talking about, but then the memories came back; of me being slashed by Felix after I got in the way. I felt woozy; He was right about the blood loss. I wondered how long I had been out for. I couldn't tell at the moment, and I wanted to ask. "T-Time...?"
"What is it?" He pulled away. "The time? You want to know what the time is?"
I gave a slow nod.
"It's about 4 in the afternoon." He responded. We were in class at around 10 am this morning if I recall correctly, so a good few hours I've been out.
I leaned back in the bed, almost gasping for air. Merely sitting up exhausted me. Dimitri leaned close to me. "(Y/N)... I'm so glad you're safe. Felix feels awful about the whole thing. I don't think he's even left his room since the incident."
I smiled, but I wasn't sure if that was from me actually smiling myself, or my body just doing actions on its own. But I didn't hate Felix for what happened. I shouldn't have gotten so close. To be fair, Felix also shouldn't have been using so much power, but that's different. His sparring sessions can be intense. I wanted to try and tell Dimitri to let Felix know I felt no hate towards him, and it was a genuine accident.
"F-f-for... Forgive..."
"Forgive?" Dimitri asked. "Do you... forgive him?" I slowly nodded. "(Y/N), how could anyone forgive someone who did that to you?" Dimitri held my hand with both of his. "You can't just forgive him. I understand it was an accident, but you nearly died. In fact, I thought you did when I could no longer feel your heart beating."
I sighed and frowned in response. My eyes began to wander elsewhere. "Hey!" Dimitri quietly yelled. "Are you truly forgiving Felix, or is it just your blood loss taking its toll?"
I smiled and nodded with certainty. Dimitri also gave a slight smile. "I see..." I felt my mind begin to wander again, hard for me to keep awake. I'm pretty sure Dimitri noticed, as he gave a small chuckle. "It's going to be a while before you can really process everything and get back to normal. But I will be here every step of the way."
I hugged him back in response. Then, in my half drunken state, said something I was embarrassed to say.
"I... l-love you... D-Dimitri..."
And to my shock, he responded.
"I love you also, (Y/N)."
