Oops I Did It Again... (Barry Allen) (E)
Walking into the little coffee shop was nice. This was like my second home, with all the hours I'd been here. Working, dates, rec time... I mean, on top of that, I'd been here using my job as a cover to watch over Iris for Barry. After Barry finally admitted his feelings for me, we got on more personal terms. Dates here. Hang outs here. Late nights with coffee from here. This place was welcoming and nostalgic.
Perfect place for an anniversary date.
Sitting at one of the booths, I was confronted by a worker. She asked my order, I gave it to her, then I sat there, waiting for my order and Barry.
Not that I wasn't used to waiting for Barry... Just to have him never show, my mind over casually added.
Biting my lip, I refused to think about that. Refused to worry. Barry would show up. This wasn't just a normal date, it was our first anniversary! He'd been so excited all week to make it up to me since he'd been so... absent. So I knew he'd come.
Time passed. He wasn't late yet, I had been pretty early. I always was. I was used to waiting now, but I'd always been patient. I'd always been okay with waiting. I usually showed up to dates half an hour before they started. I guess I was good for Barry like that, because I remembered everything for him. I was on time when he couldn't be and okay with waiting for him to come, which was a need to be in a relationship with Barry.
Checking my watch, I realized he was late now. Ten minutes late. But that was nothing. I could wait for a while. Drinking my drink I hadn't realized had been delivered to my table - it was now cold - I waited a little longer. My eyes wandered out the window, and I sat there, watching the people pass and live their lives.
So normal. Not worried about their superhero boyfriends that put themselves in danger at a constant rate. Not worried about being kidnapped by said boyfriend's enemies. Not worried about anything other than family, friends, and every day, boring life.
How nice. But also how strange.
"Are you waiting for someone?" My head turned to see the girl who'd taken my order from earlier. I smiled.
"Yeah," I affirmed.
"Okay. I figured. You've just been here a long time..." she smiled a sad smile.
Surprised, I looked down at my watch. My mind wandered, so much constantly going through my head, that I could spend hours just looking out a window and be content.
In fact, I'd spent two hours looking out a window, daydreaming.
He was two and a half hours late.
Put down and disappointed yet again, my face fell. "I... Sorry, I guess time got away from me," I mumbled distractedly. I rose from my seat and started walking home. The sun was setting and I found it really beautiful. I didn't have time to look at sunsets though, even though usually I'd stop moving and just watch it. Right now I was in too much heart ache.
As you can tell, I'm a very stop-and-smell-the-roses kind of person. Barry was not, as he was not only physically fast, but needed to be that fast to keep on top of all the things he had to be on top of. We balanced each other out really well like that I guess.
Getting to my house, I unlocked the door, went inside, then locked it behind me. I sighed, rubbing my eyes, tossed my keys on the side table by the door, and made my way to the living room to plop on the couch. My elbows went to my knees and my head went into my hands, and I sat there, breathing in and out.
What did I except?
I excepted to be important to him I guess...
Falling lightly to my side, I curled up on he couch, turning the TV on and settled on spendingour anniversary alone, on the couch, watching stupid TV shows.
Grand.

-3rd Person POV-
"Man Barry that was so cool!" Cisco exclaimed, a huge grin on his face.
"I know! Pretty proud of that," Barry agreed, high-fiving Cisco, then zooming to change his clothes at top speed. Now in normal clothes, he plopped down in a chair, still smiling and joking around with Cisco.
"BARRY ALLEN!" A stern voice came suddenly.
Freezing, Barry slowly turned to look over at Iris and Caitlin storming into the room, eyes wide and angry. Barry's eyes were wide as well, taken off guard and frankly scared as he was when either woman were upset at him. Having them both mad at him at the same time was actually terrifying. "Yeah?" He asked nervously. Cisco was just as alert and scared for Barry himself.
"What's today?" Iris asked, placing her hand on her hip and raising an eyebrow.
"Uh... Tuesday?" Barry offered, not sure what was wrong.
"First off, its Friday," Caitlin told him sternly. "Secondly, what's today's date?"
Date. Why did that strike a -
"OH MY GOSH Y/N!" Barry said, his eyes going wide and standing up from his chair.
"Ding ding ding!" Iris sounded sassily.
"Happy anniversary," Caitlin scoffed.
Barry cupped his face, pressing his hands flat and rubbing his skin while sighing. "Ugh, she's gonna kill me," he groaned.
"No she won't," Caitlin argued. "That's why she's so great."
"No, you don't understand! This isn't just a date. This is the date. This is the date that she's been counting the days down to! The date we've been so excited for all week! The date, Caitlin!" He was terrified, and began pacing now.
Iris sighed, stopping Barry with a hand on his shoulder. "Barry, go to her. Now." They looked at each other a long time then Barry sighed, giving in, and turned, zooming out of the room.
"Good luck," Caitlin sighed, lightly giggling at her air head of a friend.
"Luck?" Cisco finally spoke up. "He's going to need a miracle!"
"Then good miracle," Caitlin corrected. There was a pause then the three busted up laughing.

Barry was home and in the door faster than he would usually would have risked, but hey, go fast to home right? Anyway, not important. The second the door closed, he was calling her name. "Y/n? Y/n? Y-"
There she was, asleep on the couch. Curled into a ball, the TV on and playing low. It was a sappy love story and Barry rolled his eyes, chuckling. Seeing her there, so still and small and alone, he sighed. Slipping his arms underneath her and securing her in a good hold, he picked her up, taking her to their room and laying her in bed. He went to leave her alone and let her sleep, but her hand shot out, wrapping around his wrist, and pulling him back forcefully. He yelped as he fell back in the bed then chuckled as she continued to pull him closer, cuddling up to him.
Kicking off his shoes, he pulled her into his chest and they lay there like that, quiet and together and content in a way.
"I forgot," he mumbled. "I'm sorry."
"Eh. You're here now."
He was shocked. "You're not mad?"
"If I got mad every time you skipped out on something important to me we wouldn't be in a relationship."
"What?" Barry whispered. "No. if it's important to you, it's important to me. Don't ever think that it's not. I love you, okay, and I want to make sure that we're both satisfied with everything happening between us."
She didn't respond at first. "Then I'm angry at you."
"Good. Then I can make it up to you."
"Like you were supposed to make it up to me tonight?" She mumbled under her breath. She was bothered. She hated it. She was mad. But Y/n was the kind of person to sacrifice her wants to please others. That's something that Barry could detect and stop. Another reason they were really good for each other. He sensed her bother immediately and pulled her closer.
He sighed. "In really sorry, Y/n."
A pause. "I know."
"I love you."
"I love you too." Another pause. "But you better make it up to me if you want me to forgive you."
"Of course."
Then, after a while, they fell asleep. Tangled in each other and pulled close, they found their position comfortable. After all, they couldn't sleep without each other anymore. And they'd rather sleep together than continue to be angry and sleep apart.
