Varian (TTS) - Try Not To Laugh

So, since it's Varian Appreciation Week, our first guest is going to be VARIAN!!!

Yay!

(So, for the format of the rest of this book, It'll be in 3rd person pov. The thing they're reacting to will be in bold.)

"Hey, everyone!" Tess says, "So, as you just read, our first guest is Varian! We'll be watching a try not to laugh video that I'll put somewhere down below, once I get Varian here. I'm hoping that it'll improve my mood, since I'm not feeling super great right now. I'll be changing into something that suits where the characters are from, but since I've seen girls wear pants on Tangled: The Series, I won't worry about that this time," she continues, then pulled out a button, "This button, when pushed, will bring whatever fictional character or characters I'm thinking of out of their world, to here!"

She presses the button and two figures appear.

"Uh... It was only supposed to be Varian..."

Standing next to Varian is Cassandra.

~brief timeskip brought to you by Tess explaining everything to them~

"So- Goodness, I say 'so' a lot. Either way, we're now ready to start." Tess says.

"Um, why are you talking to the wall?" Varian asks. Tess hears Cassandra mutter something about "insane".

"Oh! That's where the fans I was talking to you about are." Tess says. She pulls out a remote and presses a button, making the fourth wall transparent, "Hi, everyone!!!" she exclaims, waving.

"I-I..."

(Varian.exe has stopped working)

"Can we just get this stupid video over with, so you can send us back home?" Cass asks, "I've got to help Raps with something in an hour, and I still want to have time to practice my sword fighting."

"Okay, okay." Tess says, raising her hands up in 'defense'. She presses the button on the remote again, and the wall becomes opaque again.

"Let's get started!" Tess smiles, pulling out her laptop, and sitting on the couch. Cass sits down next to her. Tess looks around, and sees that Varian is still staring at the wall.

"VarBear!"

"Huh, w-what?" he snaps out of it, not noticing the nickname, "O-oh." he says, realizing that everyone except him is on the couch. He goes over and sits down on the other side of Tess.

"VarBear?" Cass whispers to Tess. Tess just blushes and smiles awkwardly, then turns her attention to the computer.

"Okay, so the rules are as follows: No laughing, no smiling, etc."

"That'll be easy for Cass." Varian points out.

"Well originally she wasn't supposed to be here."

"I'm right here, ya know?"

"Either way, let's get on with the video."

Tess pulls up the video and presses play.

A person wearing a creepy mask is on the screen.

"Ugh, that's a creepy-looking mask..." Varian comments.

A hand wearing a creepy glove comes on screen and pokes one of the fingers into the person's mouth and throat. The person chokes and backs up, holding their mouth and neck.

"That wasn't nice..."

"Varian, you are too precious."

"Huh?"

"N-nothing..."

"I played in m-m-m-m-m-m-m-m-m-m-m-m"

Tess struggles to hold her laugh in. The other two just look at the screen with confusion.

A lawn mower is shown on screen, supposedly making the sound of the "m-m-m-m"s.

Tess struggles even harder, but she manages to hold it in.

"What's that?"

"Oh, that's a lawn mower. It cuts grass, Varian."

"Oh."

A baby and a bunny are now on the screen. The bunny takes the cookie that the baby is eating, and runs off.

"How is people and animals being mean funny?" Varian asks. Tess just shrugs in reply.

A girl is playing violin on the screen.

"Oh! Rapunzel said that she knows how to play violin!"

"Do you have to speak during every single one of these, Varian."

"Well that's kind of the whole point of this, Cassie."

"What did you just call me?"

"N-nothing..."

The strings pops off the instrument.

"Oh no."

Varian and Tess nearly laugh.

"Okay, that was actually funny." Varian says, holding back a smile.

A person on a rollercoaster, recording the video, throws a phone to a person on another cart in the ride, but the other person doesn't catch it. They both scream and panic.

There is almost a smile on Cass's face. (Or at least not a frown, for once.)

"That was stupid," she says, an eyebrow raised.

"What was that thing?"

"That was a rollercoaster."

Varian nods in understanding.

A boy is playing the game Perfection.

"What's that?"

"Varian, I swear if you ask what another thing is I'll-"

"Calm down, Cassie-"

"Cassandra."

"Whatever."

The game pops out, scattering the pieces. The boy jumps back and slips, causing him to fall backwards.

"Varian, did you just jump?"

"N-no. I didn't."

Meanwhile Tess laughs. She then slaps her hands over her mouth.

"Well, I guess I'm out," she says, now smiling freely.

Spongebob is on the screen.
"Take it away penny!"
It then shows a penny. Some rap music plays, supposedly sung by the penny.
Then it shows Patrick sniffling.

"I-uh..."

Both of the Coronians (?) look a the screen in confusion.

Gru from Despicable Me is now on screen.
"No... No... No annoying sounds."
A clicking noise is heard as Agnes lightly slaps her cheeks.

Tess presses mute on the computer.

"Quick intermission brought to you by a not so good clip in this video that I didn't realize was there till now, but I'm too lazy to start all over." she says, then mumbles, "This said it was clean."

~skipping to the clip after the not so good one.~

A small bunny (?) toy is "hopping" on a table. It's tongue pokes out, and it squeaks, every time it squishes against the table.

Varian tries to hold in his laughter, but fails by the second squeak.

"I can't! It's too cute!"

The toy then goes up and down really fast and an explosion is shown, supposedly caused by the rapidly jumping toy.

"Oh..." Varian says, wide-eyed.

Meanwhile, Cass is laughing.

"It- It blew up." she gasps between laughs.

"Well, I guess that's over with..." Tess says, "And we only watched one minute and fourteen seconds." she said then laughed, "Well, is there anything you'd like to say to our friends?" she says, gesturing to the fourth wall.

"Um... Hi?" Varian says, awkwardly, as he waves slightly.

"Cassie?"

"Don't call me that."

"Okay, Cassie."

"I-I wouldn't do that, Tess." Varian says.

"Well, I guess that's it for now! I've gotta get these two back home now." Tess says to the wall, "Oh, and next time, we'll be joined by some of my favorite newsboys from the 1992 movie version of Newsies, to watch the musical stage recording version!"

"Bye!" they all say, (though Cass wasn't nearly as smiley as the other two), and wave to the wall.
