(Percy Jackson) The Story of the Love That's Lost
WARNING!!!!! This story is sad.
Oh, and do you want a part two?

First person Percy's point of view
"Hi Wise Girl!" I shouted as I ran up to her on the beach. She looked away from the waves of the ocean and looked at me.
"Hi, Seaweed Brain," she replied, smiling.
We didn't talk for a while. We looked into the horizon, as deep in thought as the ocean itself. Eventually I broke the silence.
I sat down. "Would like to lie down?" I asked.
"Yes, I do, Seaweed Brain," she answered. We were lying down, gazing up at the sky. Our hands met in the soft sand and we stared into the stars, holding hands.
I should have registered how peaceful it was, just us, lying there in the sand, the waves splashing against the beach, the stars shining brightly. I should have known that it was too much to hope that nothing would go wrong. Something had to.
But that thought didn't even occur to me. If it had, I might've been able to prevent the disaster that would change my life in a bad way forever.
A particular constellation caught me eye, they one I was there to see form in the first place, the Huntress. It was glowing bright tonight, like Zoë was trying to warn us.
But I didn't notice that either.
"I wish I could have saved them," I whispered. "Zoë and Bob, I mean."
"I know you do," Annabeth replied, "but there was nothing you could do. It was destined to happen. The Fates made it that way."
The Fates. If I had known which string had been cut at that second...
I remembered the box in my pocket. The ring. I was going to propose to her.
I let go of her hand and stood up. She sat up. I knelt on one knew and pulled out the box. I could tell she knew what it was by her smile. But as I was about to ask her the life changing question, I heard a growl.
I turned around, angry that something had interrupted the moment. Then I saw them. In the trees at the end of the beach. I pulled out Riptide at the same time as I heard Annabeth pull out her bone sword.
The monsters quickly surrounded us, hellhounds, empousai, even the Furies and old Beef Head. We started fighting.
Annabeth and I were separated. We were both in two separate rings of monsters. I slashed and stabbed until I heard something that made my heart stop. I spin around just in time to see Kelly the empousai pulling a sword out of Annabeth's chest.
"No!" I yelled. I looked back at the monster trying to stab me in the back. I killed it.
I looked back at Annabeth lying on the ground, bleeding. I looked at Kelly who was smirking at me evilly.
The smile melted off her face when she saw the angry fire in my eyes.
"WIll!" I shouted. My voice was so loud it shook the ground, literally. I was so angry I had started an earthquake. "GET YOU YOUR CABIN OUT HERE AND HEAL ANNABETH!"
Everyone had woken up and ran out to see what was happening.
I turned back to the monsters. My eyes were burning with anger. I somehow flew above the ground a few feet and the earthquake increased until it was a full scale earthquake.
All the monsters somehow flew up into the air too and exploded into monster dust. The only one left was Kelly. Her face looked as if she'd never had smiled at all. The only expression on it at all was fear, pure fear.
I landed on the ground. The earthquake stopped. I stalked towards Kelly with my sword in my hand. Kelly tried to turn around and run away, but she stopped suddenly as though she'd hit a brick wall. I looked behind her. There was a force field, barely visible, blocking her from escaping.
Water vapor force field, I thought, but in the back of my mind. The only thing I could think about was making Kelly suffer.
I stalked over to her with me sword out. I stabbed her in the arm. Then I stabbed her in the other arm. I cut off her legs. "YOU WILL NOT MESS WITH ANY OF MY FRIENDS AGAIN!" I yelled. Then I made her explode into monster dust, which I think I did by using the blood in their bodies.
I turned around, still seething in anger. All the campers were looking at me in... fear?
Even Nico, who was the scariest person I knew.
Then I turned and saw Annabeth, and all my anger melted away. I got to her side faster than anyone could have thought possible. I could tell she was still breathing, barely.
"Annabeth," I whispered. "Wise Girl."
"Seaweed Brain," she whispered back. "Don't kill yourself for me. Live long."
"But I want to be with you," I said. "I don't think I can live without you."
"You have to. For me," she replied. "Please."
"I was about to ask you," I replied sadly
"I know." She whispered. "The answer is yes. It will always be yes. When you do join me, we can marry."
"Okay," I sighed. I lowered and she raised her head, and we kissed. I knew this would be the last kiss we'd share until I die, so we kissed for as long as we could.
About two minutes later, she lowered her head. Her head rested against the soft sand and she looked up at the stars. Her last words reminded me of Zoë's.
"I can see the stars, Percy. Zoë is bright tonight." Annabeth took her last breath and she did not move again.
I cried into my hands for what seemed like forever. I curled up into a ball, slowly rocking. I sobbed for a long time.
I tried to pull myself together, but I couldn't.
I mean, I knew everyone was watching me. I knew they considered me their hero. I knew that they looked to me for hope, as a strong leader. I tried to pull myself together, knowing that if they saw me like this, unable to pull it together, then they would lose all hope of being able to do it either.
What's the point of being a demigod son of Poseidon with the ability to control water if you can't even control your own tears?
I heard everyone gasp, but I didn't move. I felt someone tap my shoulder and I turned towards them.
I saw the goddess Artemis crouching down next to me. She had a few tears too. She leaned forward to Annabeth. I saw her do the same thing as she did to Zoë all those years ago. When she was done, I gasped.
There was a new constellation in the stars. It was Annabeth with her hand by her side, as if she were holding someone's hand, but no one was there.
"Perseus," Artemis whispered. "When you die, I will make you a constellation too. It will complete the picture. You will hold her hand and be with her in the night sky, watching everyone for all eternity. You will be able to send warnings like Zoë tried to tonight."
"Thank you, Lady Artemis," I said smiling.
Then she did something I would never expect.
She hugged me.
I tensed for a second, but then hugged her back.
"Thank you," I kept repeating. "Thank you so much. I will never be able to make it up to you. Thank you."
"It was my pleasure, Perseus," she replied, smiling. A few seconds later, she said, "Well, I'm needed back at Olympus. Bye Perseus."
"Bye," I whispered.
The crowd eventually dispersed, but I stayed there. I laid down on the sand, looking up at Annabeth's constellation.
"I love you, Wise Girl," I whispered.
Looking up at the sky, I realized that life is like the night sky. Life has bad parts, and without them, life has no purpose. And the stars need darkness to shine, it's just that mine needs more darkness than most.
