So for anyone who hasn't played the game or finished watching a play through do not read this oneshot! It will contain a lot of spoilers and I don't want to ruin it for you if you haven't finished the game yet.

So in my playthrough, Jessica died and Josh became a Wendigo everyone else survived.
This will be a oneshot about the survivors which are:
Sam
Matt
Emily
Mike
Ashley and Chris

Sam's POV

My hand shakes as I grab the cold knob of the door. I take two deep breathes and open the door.
"Sam!"
Ashley jumps into my arms. I can see all the others smiling, happy to see each other again. It's been a year.
A year since I've seen all their faces. The last time we saw each other all of us had scars, our faces covered in blood and dirt. Eyes that could never unsee the horror, we lost Jessica that day, I don't think Mike will ever heal from that.
"You look great Sam."
Mike says as he hugs me.
"Thanks you too, how have you been holding up."
"It's been a long year. My folks put me in therapy, it helped a bit but people still don't believe me."
"They don't believe me either."
Emily says.
"What about the police that went back to search for Josh?"
I'm the only one that knows. A few days after we were rescued the police station called me.
The chief was concerned about some of his men who went missing the day they went back for Josh.
I told him to keep the others out of it and that I would help him as good as I can. We had seen enough, I'm pretty sure none of us have recovered from last years event and the news I'm about to throw on the table is going to make me sound crazy.
"Those men went missing..."
"Missing or eaten?"
Chris says hiding his face in his hands.
"I have spoken to the chief in command. They found Josh, but he attacked his rescuers, I heard their last messages, sounded like Josh turnend into a Wendigo."
Everyone looks at me, shocked and scared.
"He didn't deserve that."
Ashley yelps starting to tear up. She's right he didn't. He screwed us over but he had no idea what true monsters were living on that mountain. When we all told the police about the Wendigo's they didn't believe us. They just shoved it on a serial kiler hiding in the mountains like with Beth and Hannah's disappearance.
"They want us to go back."
"What?"
"Are you insane?"
"Fuck no!"
They yell in unison.
"I know it's fucked but what if those things decide to leave the mountain?"
"They can't, only if you eat human flesh on that mountain you will turn into one." Mike protests.
"And getting scratched isn't going to turn you into one either!"
Emily yells eyeing at Ashley. I guess they still hold a grudge over that.
Ashley looks away and holds her hand to her cheek as if she got slapped again.
"Look the chief said he believed us especially after he heard what happend to his troops. He wants us to go back and gather some information, take some pictures, anything that can prove these things are real to shut that mountain down!"
Matt shakes his head and stands right in front of me.
"If you think we are going back to hell you are seriously insane Sam."
"Don't you guys want people to believe us! What if they sell the estate and someone else moves in or worse they make it a ski lodge again."
Mike is the only one looking at me. I know he wants to do this, he wants revenge for Jessica.
"Mike. Don't you want Jessica's parents to know what really happend.
They thought u were insane when you tried to tell them the truth."
He clutches his fist and joins my side.
"She's right guys, we can't just sit here and act like nothing happend."
"We are not acting like nothing happend we got plenty of scars to remind us of that night!"
Emily comes closer but I don't back away. I can see Mike wants to take action but I can protect myself.
I take a step forward, Emily and I are standing face to face our noses almost touching.
"We are the only ones left who can proof those things exist, the only thing we need to do is get those documents from the asylum and the guide book. Proof enough, maybe even film if we encounter one."
Emily backs of and sits down.
"So a quick in and out."
I nod. Everyone's eyes are focussed on me.
"The police is willing to help us, we can pull this off, the last time our mistake was that we split up this time we stay together."
"I don't know Sam... that place it's in the past."
This time Chris takes my side.
"It will never be the past if those monsters are still alive Ash."
Matt, Ashley and Emily exchange looks.
I smack my hand on the table and look at them.
"We need to kill every last one of them."
"What if Josh..."
Ashley doesn't finish he sentence, I imagine Josh like one of the wendigo's.
Tall skeleton like monsters with teeth sharper than razor blades, blind but fast.
"If he's there we need to put him out of his misery." I bluntly say trying to hold back tears, I grew up with him and Hannah and god Beth. They are all gone and their parents were the only one that believed us but didn't want to make it public because they knew how people would react.
"Are you really going to kill Josh."
"That thing isn't Josh anymore... Hannah did seem to recognize Josh but."
Mike says crossing his arms. Everyone is thinking, in a way it feels as if we are back in the mine, thinking of an escape, sitting tight until dawn for the rescuers to save us.
"If he's able to recognize us then he might still be in there."
Ashley protests. I shake my head.
"Maybe they are able to recognize and remember us but we all know those things want one thing. Human flesh."
A long silence falls, I sit down and look around at my friends. Chris and Mike are in for sure and maybe if Chris is in Ashley doesn't have another choice they are madly in love.
Emily and Matt stopped talking after Matt dropped Emily, she survived but hell was she pissed.
"I'm in I can't live with the thought that Josh is roaming around that mountain looking for innocent people to kill."
Emily finally says.
Matt nods in agreement.
"Me too, he doesn't deserve to be one of them."
"Ashley?"
Ashley is shaking her head and biting her nails.
"What if they are smarter, stronger, I don't want to die up there."
I take Ashley her hands and kneel in front of her looking into her eyes.
"We survived by being smart and a team, now we'll have weapons and trained elites helping us out! We were in this together and we are ending it together."
I wipe away Ashley her tear and she nods in agreement.
I did it, I convinced all of them to go back and help to prove that we aren't insane, that that mountain is cursed and that people should stay away from it.
Their faces are no longer happy, they are scared again, full of swear dirt and blood like I remember them.
It's not going to be easy but we can do this.
Together.
