{SPN} Spinoff

I keep hearing rumors about a Supernatural spinoff series starting up after the show ends (Wayward Sisters potentially??) and I know EXACTLY what I want for a spinoff, and I also know it'll probably never happen, but I CAN DREAM, HAROLD.

I want a spinoff/ movie (my brother suggested movie) about the Sam and Dean's childhood.

It would damage my heart beyond all repair, but I WANT IT.

Consider it.

We start with Mary's funeral, probably, and go from there. Bring back Matt Cohen to play our young John Winchester because MATT COHEEEENNNNNN, and also because Jeffery Dean Morgan got older.

Show us how John got wrapped into the Hunter life. How he started researching monsters and demons and taking cases. Show us how he met Bobby and Ellen and all our other favorite Hunter friends.

I want them to show us more of John Winchester, either to redeem him as a character, or to prove to us just how truly awful a parent he was.

I want to see Dean learn how to take care of his little brother while struggling to take care of himself. John couldn't have just left them on their own from the start- we know they've had babysitters before.

SO SHOW ME. I want to see the weeks they spent left at Bobby's or at Ellen's, where they got to feel loved and have a normal childhood, even for a couple days.

Dean being so determined to learn how to read now because he cares, but because he knows he's going to have to teach Sam one day and he wants Sam to learn.

Ten year old Dean, barely big enough to reach the petals, being taught how to drive a car because John just can't handle all of the hours anymore.

Bobby teaching Dean how to make simple foods like sandwiches and mac n' cheese, and then loading his backpack up with boxes of nonperishable food items so that even when John forgets, Sam and Dean will still have food.

Lil Dean wandering around sewing circles and grocery stores, asking nice ladies how to take care of babies, not because he's curious, but because Sammy won't stop crying and he needs to know what he's doing wrong in order to help.

Hey Jude being forbidden by John because it reminds him of Mary, so Dean starts singing Metallica to Sam when he wakes up in the middle of the night, because Metallica calms his little brother down.

Sam learning how to makes friends and Dean helping him move on when they inevitably leave and Sam never sees them again.

Sam growing up seeing his big brother as brother, mother, father, and best friends all rolled into one.

Dean growing up in the span of one or two years, instead of in a couple decades like he's supposed to.

Sam, slowly starting to dream about leaving and putting those plans in action. Dean, frantic like a parent losing their child every time Sam runs away or talks about leaving.

Dean taking the blame for everything, no matter who did it, because he doesn't think Sammy should have to listen to John yell at him.

Sam and Dean calling Bobby at all hours of the day, sometimes for advice, and sometimes just for sheer comfort. Occasionally when a bad call comes in, Bobby will call John and convince him to let the boys stay at his house for a while, just to give them a break they so desperately need.

Sam and Dean being absolute masters at every game you could possibly play in a car.

Dean not caring about school because he knows he's not going to have a normal life and, face it, it's not like you need a diploma to be a hunter.

Sam and Dean skipping school anytime their brother is sick despite the others protests because they know damn well that they need to take care of each other and they're not gonna die of a stupid cold while the other is off at school.

Dean literally sprinting out of class anytime Sam texts him and has a problem, school rules be damned.

Dean being forced to help on a hunt and not doing his homework because 'screw it'- Sam stays up late and does his brother's work too because school is important to him and it should be important to Dean too.

Sam and Dean spending hours arguing over their codes like Poughkeepsie and funkytown and when they should be used. They end up inventing this whole secret code that they use in the Impala to tell jokes and confuse John.

Just- SAM AND DEAN GROWING UP AND HAVING A SAD AND HEARTBREAKING CHILDHOOD WITH SMALL MOMENTS OF HAPPINESS AND EVEN THOUGH IT WOULD HURT, I WOULD WANT TO WATCH EVERY SINGLE SECOND OF WHAT MADE SAM AND DEAN WHO THEY ARE.

And maybe, just maybe, this spinoff would answer the most supernatural question of supernatural-

HOW the HELL did Sam get into STANFORD on a FULL-FREAKING-RIDE SCHOLARSHIP?
