(A/N): If your wondering why this is an unfinished chapter, I'm having technical difficulties with the save button, this was supposed to be a very long chapter but apparently wattpad is starting to hate me 😂So yeah...

(Kate's POV )
I sighed in frustration as I put my hands over my hair from all the paperwork I had to do. Unfortunately I'm one of Red Leader's assistant's, I have to look over and read thousands of pages of useless information.

It's so boring, it feels like I'm in back at school again *shivers* boy weren't there embarrassing and stressful moments.But I can't complain, otherwise I would be shot in the head.

And personally, being Tord's assistant sucks, we have to do all the work for him. I don't know maybe it's just me but I'm just sick living like this, I want all of us to be friends again...

Like the old days...

*Knock Knock *

"Come in"

Tom walked in the room, looking emotionless as usual, he stood in front of my desk with his hands behind his back.

"Red Leader wants you in his office, he wants to talk about some things he wants to discuss."

"Already? This story wasn't even that long!"

"What?"

"U-UM.. HERE! You can take care of the paperwork while I'm gone "
I gave him a box filled with papers and envelops as I ran out of of the room, closing the door behind me. I walked in the crowded hallways of the Red Base, soldiers preparing for battle against the rebellions, training to fight, loading their weapons and ready for blood to spill. Everyone here is.... Well rough, only for their survival, and I must say...this is a messed up place, but I don't blame them, life made them all messed up.

I stood in front of the door that had a golden plate saying "Red Leader's Office". I sighed and softly knocked on the door, I heard something shuffling but no one answered, I knocked again. He partially opened the door as his head popped out and smiled a bit.

"Evening, Sir," I saluted.

"Just call me Tord." He replied as he opened the door wide open. "Come in"

I walked in as the smell of cigarettes started to fill the room. I coughed a bit but I managed to get use to the smell. Tord was just standing near a big window, looking at all the chaos in London, innocent people dying, families living in fear, etc. I wanted to help them... but... I couldn't...but that's not going to stop me from protecting the innocent.

I might be one of the weakest person you have ever met, but at least I don't give up hope. One day when I find a way out of here, I'm going to put a end on this war, although I can't do it alone, I'm going have to figure this out.

"I have a mission for you but this is not going to be easy," Tord said as he turned his head to face me.

I don't like this already...If he is sending me out to buy more Anime body pillows... I'm going to be done

"Do you remember... Edd, Matt and Ashley?"

"Yes."

It's been almost 2 years since I've last seen them and talk to them. To be honest, I'm kinda scared to go back there, Ashley will beat the crap out of me for leaving with no explanation.

"Good because I want you to kill them."

"W-What?! But there our friends! "

"Listen... Kate... I know how you feel right now but I have to do what's best for my army, otherwise we would all be in danger. I can't go over there and say "I'm back", we're not friends anymore but we're not enemies either. But I believe they trust you and if you get them to trust you, they will become a easy target. So, just kill them when they're asleep, okay? For me... Please?"

I couldn't say no, one of my weaknesses.

I sighed. "Okay"

"Thank you. Here take this."

He handed me a bag that had a sniper, a handgun and a knife inside. I felt nervous about this, I don't want to kill them but I don't want the Red Leader getting mad at me, I've seen what he does when he's upset, and trust me it's not pretty.

"This should be all that you need for this mission and please take care of my children."

"You mean guns..."

"Precisely."

"Tord... "

"Yes."

"Why didn't you assign Tom for this mission," I asked as started to exit the room.

"Well let's just say we're adding some upgrades on him."

"Um ok... "

I exited the room and made my way to my room again. I opened the door and saw a passed-out Tom sleeping on my desk. All the paperwork work that was scrambled on my desk was now organized in bins, all thats left on my desk is Tom's drool. I guess the paperwork got the stress out of him.

It's nice to see him sleep for once, lately he had problems sleeping, ever since he left to join the Red Army, but before he joined, he was sleeping next to Ashley, he would usually hug her for warmth, try to tell her that he's there, or she's his personal teddy bear. He never really got used to sleeping alone ever since.

I sighed and smiled as I wrapped a warm blanket around him, hopefully he sleeps comfortably. I went to my drawer to see what I should change in... Eh... I'll keep the boots and pants on I'll just change in a T-shirt along with a dark blue trenchcoat, I can't let them know that I'm with Turd...I-I mean Tord...

I went to the bathroom to change and then I looked myself at the mirror, there was scars, some dirt, and bruises on my face. Jeez, What is life doing to me... I washed my face with some water and soap just to wash off the dirt, nothing more. I started to change out of my Red Army uniform and started to put on some clothes.

Then I started to head out with my bag and try to find my old friends. This is going to be awkward as soon as I meet them...

(Time skip brought to by Tom and Ashley drinking bleach :D)

I've searched half of what's left of London and still couldn't find anyone. The sun is about to set, the nights are usually very cold, I need to find somewhere warm. Why did Tord had to choose me for this mission?! He could've choosed Paul or Pat, but noooo he'd rather choose a weakling like me, that's why he gave me three of his weapons. Tord is a stupid bi-

As I was walking focused in my thoughts, I accidently bumped into someone, I fell on the ground during the process.

"Watch where you going?!"

"I'm sorry, I should've paid more attention," I muttered as I got from the ground wiping the dust off of me.

"Kate? Is that you?! You look like shit!"

I looked up at the person and my eyes popped open.

"Ashley?!"

We both stared at each other in shock. It's been 2 years... But it felt like eternity since we saw each other, she got a little bit taller, since now we're both the same height now, she had a bandage around her eye that's stained with blood, she wore a red shirt with sleeves along with a police vest and wrist armour. She looks exhausted, maybe from fighting to survive, but I wonder where the others are... I hope they're okay.

Then she slapped me across my face, leaving a hand mark on my cheek.

"That was for leaving me without saying goodbye," Ashley said.

Then she started to hug me tightly as I did the same.

"And this is for coming back."

"I deserved the slapping part, you should do that to Tom too y'know."

"Don't worry I plan to."

We broke the hug, then we did our secret little handshake. I forgot some parts of the handshake but I managed to get to the end.

"Come, Matt is going to flip when they see you, especially Edd."

"Oh crap, how do I explain this to Edd?"

"I don't know, plus it's your problem not mine."

"Thanks for the help..."

We started to head where Edd and Matt where as Ashley lead the way. I felt nervous, Matt might think that I'm not his friend anymore and I don't want to hang out with him, which he might possibly cry, and for Edd

"Um Kate you've been standing there for a while with your eyes wide open, are you okay?" Ashley asked, putting her hand over my shoulder.

"Never been better," I laughed nervously.

She stared at my with a confused look until we took off in the road again. After a few hours, we stopped in front of a giant metal door of a military base, at the side of the door was a hand scanner, Ashley placed her hand on the scanner as it started to scan her hand, then the door automatically opened.

We both went entered, as the door behind us closed. Inside, was soldiers with camouflage uniforms walking around the base in straight lines. We started walk in the hallways, I peaked in a few rooms, there was survivors in one big room that had everything they need to survive. I smiled and sighed in relief, at least I don't have to worry about that anymore. We then stopped in front of a door with a silver plate, that said Edd Gould. I took a deep breath, this is it, this is where my mission begins...I guess.

Ashley knocked on the door, I heard footsteps coming towards the door until it stopped. Then the door opened, revealing a tired-looking Edd.

"Edd, Guess who I found," Ashley muttered as she pointed to my direction.

He looked at Ash confused, then he turned his head to me, shocked.

"Hi E-Edd," My voice cracked.

"Kate?"

"Yea?"

"It r-really is you," Edd managed to say.

Tears started to form in his eyes, as he ran up and hugged me tightly. He then started to cry on my shoulder as I rubbed his back, telling him "It's okay, I'm here." This is going to be very hard to complete this mission, if I don't succeed who knows what he might do to me.

"I-I thought you were dead,"He whispered, shakily. "I thought I'd never see you again. "

"Well, I wouldn't die without saying goodbye...well maybe," I whispered back, stroking his soft hair.

We both broke the hug, I've missed our warm hugs, back then, we would cuddle in a blanket drinking some hot chocolate even if it was spring while we both watching a movie until one of us falls asleep, it was mostly Edd who falls asleep so sometimes I would give him a piggy back ride up to his room, sometimes I would sleep with him just to here his cute peppa pig snores...I missed those days. He started to put his hand on my cheek until I flinched in pain. Then he turned to Ash, squinting his eyes at her in suspicion.

"What? I only bitch-slapped her, but those bruises on her face wasn't from me," Ashley exclaimed.

He then turned to me, with a worried expression on his face.

"Kate who did this to you?" He questioned.

"From no one Edd... I just... trip and fall flat on my face."

"Okay, then explain the bruises on your neck."

I smiled nervously, thinking of a response but I had nothing.

"U-Um... LOOK A COLA CAN!!!"

"WHERE!!!"

Then I started to take out a can filled with cola and threw it very far away from Edd's office. He started to sprint towards after it.

"Yeah, Edd never had the chance to drink Cola until now, ever since The Red Army Invasion begun, the Cola factories were destroyed due to Tord's bombs exploding in London."

(A/N): That's all I have so far so I might go back and finish the chapter but as for right now, I'm going back to my fucking bed so... BYE BOIIII
