Kate's Pov
As my mom was walking me to preschool, well... actually dragging me, I started crying and pouting, not wanting to go to the school. I tried to hold on a pole of a stop sign but unfortunately my small hands lost it's grip.

Ms. Blu: Cmon, Kate! We are going to be late!

Kate: B-But I don't want to go!

Ms. Blu :Its not going to be that bad, honey. You'll get to meet your new teacher, have fun, and make new friends.

Kate: I still don't want to go

Ms. Blu: I'll buy you the Limited Edition Crayola packet.

Kate: Nevermind! I'm going!

I started to skip along the way, as I held my mother's hand. The cold weather started to make me shiver a bit but I still kept a smile on my face. I wonder what the other kids were like, I hope they're all nice and won't make fun of the gap between my teeth. I probably shouldn't have ate so much candy from last halloween.

We both stopped in front of a big silver gate, behind it was a playground filled with kids...well... playing and a small building. I started hold her hand tighter, I felt nervous but excited at the same time. Mom looked down at me and just softly smiled, signaling me that it was going to be okay. I smiled back until a woman started to walk towards us and shook my mother's hand.

Teacher: You must be Ms. Blu, it's so nice to see you again.

Ms. Blu: Please, call me Katherine

Teacher: And you must be Kate

She took out her hand, waiting for me to shake on. I looked at her in suspense but I shook her hand, anyway.

Teacher: My name is Mrs. Hargreaves. It's nice to meet you.

She smiled at me.

Mrs. Hargreaves: Come, I want you to meet a few students.

I looked at my mom with a worried face.

Ms. Blu: It's going to be okay, just have fun. I'll come back later to pick you up.

I started to hug her tightly as she kissed my forehead. Then I let go of her, she started to wave goodbye to me as she walked away, disappearing from the distance.

I looked back at the teacher, she smiled and softly held my hand, leading towards me to the playground. We walked towards to a pale - looking girl with icy blue eyes and white hair. She looked pretty small from the rest of the students and looked emotionless too. She was talking to a boy with... Black eyes? How interesting...

We stopped in front of them, gaining their attention towards us.

Mrs. Hargreaves : Kate, This is Ashley and Tom. They are going to be your "Tour Guiders"

I looked at them and they looked at me. I smiled and held out my hand to them. They both started to smile a bit and shook my hand.

Kate: Hi, I'm Kate

Tom: Nice to meet you

Ashley stared at me as if she was analyzing and gathering information from me. Tom nudged her arm as she snapped back to reality.

Ashley: Nice to meet you too...

I smiled even more. This is going to be a start of a beautiful friendship.

Mrs. Hargreaves : Well I'll let you three get you to know each other even more. Just don't do anything dangerous while I'm gone.

The teacher started to walk away to a opposite direction where a group of teachers were there.

Tom: So you must be the new girl

Kate: Yep

Ashley: Which means you need to know a few rules about this place and there very important

Kate: O K

Tom: Rule number one - Never speak to Eduardo,Mark, Or Jon

Kate: Who are they?

Ashley starts to point to a a group of boys bullying another boy except for the person that looked like Tom except looked more innocent.

I ran over to them, wanting to protect the boy.

Ashley:WAIT WE WEREN'T DONE YET!

I looked back at Ashley, not hearing what she had just said until I started to trip over a rock.

I closed my eyes tightly for impact but I landed on something soft... Or... Someone..

I opened my eyes, and I gasped a little, the boy's chocolate brown eyes met mine. We were in a... awkward position but I quickly got up to my feet. The boy looked at me confused but started to get up himself, brushing the dust off his clothes. I smiled awkwardly.

I then turned to face the boy named Eduardo.

Kate: Why you're being so mean to him

Eduardo: Cause it's fun

Jon : Well not really...

Eduardo: Shut up

Kate: Just please leave him alone... I don't want any trouble

Eduardo: Yeah... That's never going to happen

He then started to walk away as his friends followed him. I sighed in relief and started to walk away. But the boy started to follow me.

Boy: Thank you

I stopped and looked back at him and smiled.

Kate: Your welcome

Edd: My name is Edd, by the way

Kate: I'm Kate

I started to slowly snap back to reality and smiled, taking a sip of Cola.

"Are you okay," Ashley asked, looking at her weirdly, "you've been quiet for a while."

I looked back at Edd, he was laughing with Tom and Matt watching a television show called "The Children"

I looked back at Ashley.

"Never been Better"
