With a quick and silent shot from my blaster, I broke the lock to the cage and swung open the barred door, allowing Sal and Joe to quickly run out to the deadly quiet cavern. Once they were both freed, I ran to them and gripped both of their shoulders as I quickly scanned them for any unseen injuries. When I saw that they had no visible injuries on them, I smiled slightly and let out a sigh of relief before I became serious once more.

Are they okay? My sister asked me worryingly while sending a wave of worry and concern emotions through our sibling bond.

They're fine sis, I promise. I responded back as I sent a surge of reassurance and comfort over to her side of the bond.

"So, what's the plan Abri? How are we going to get out of this maze-like cavern?" Sal questioned me, a small glint of fear and uncertainty appeared in his eyes.

"Why did he call me Abri?" I thought to myself "he clearly knows that my name is- Oh, right. I still have that spell on me.''

  A mischievous smirk quickly appeared on my lips as I muttered a couple of words and made a weird gesture with my hand over my head. I closed my eyes as I felt the spell began to slowly wear off my form, the appearance of my twin sister disappearing like mist, revealing my usual red jacket, my famous gold T-shirt, and my favorite beige cap. I heard the quiet gasps coming from both of the boys, making me open my gold-ringed, brown eyes. The look on their face revealed a mixture of emotions, shock, disbelief, and awe.

"VAL?!" They yelled out. I quickly clasped my hand over their mouths, my eyes darting behind me to make sure that the Vehicons patrolling the corridors didn't hear them yell. When no Vehicons came to our location after a few minutes of waiting, I sighed and slowly removed my hands from their mouths. They still looked surprised, but they also looked slightly embarrassed for yelling out.

"Val? What are you doing here?" Joe asked. I had to resist the urge to slap him in the face. Honestly, he could be really dense. I did roll my eyes though, that I couldn't resist. Sal knew what was going on, thankfully, and quietly but firmly slapped Joe on the back of the head, making Joe silently yelp out in pain.

"Isn't it obvious Joe?" Sal said, "She's here to save us and take us back to the Autobots." Joe stilled looked confused though.

"Then why was she disguised as Abri?" Joe questioned.

"Because the fact that the Decepticons will kill me on sight, but they won't kill Abri," I explained, "I'm 'wanted', you can say."

Joe and Sal nodded their heads, apparently understanding. I looked behind me again, then with a quick wave of my hand, I gestured them to follow me as I ran out into the corridor, veering towards the same direction of which I came from. I heard the sound of rapid and loud footfalls coming from behind me, indicating that the guys were following me.

Right, left, left, right, then right again, we ran through the corridors of the energon cavern, slivers of energon veins glowing and pulsing with energy appearing to look like bright blue lightning streaks as we zoomed past at full speed. As I turned right yet again, I immediately whirled around and quickly shoved Sal and Joe against the wall, placing a finger up to my lips to let them know to be quiet. They nodded quickly as I very carefully looked over the corner of the corridor. About 20 or so Vehicons were crowding the corridor we were going to blindly run through. My eyes narrowed with determination and with a quick flick of my wrist, I summoned my titanium trident. I made my way to the nearest Vehicon's pede swiftly and quietly, smirking slightly as I banged my fist against its pede hard, earning all the Vehicons' attention. My smirk grew as I twirled my trident in my hand, the sharp points glistening against the light of the energon crystals.

"Let's have some fun, shall we?" my muttered sweetly before I struck the first killing blow.

Thirty minutes later, we ran past all of the dead bodies of the Vehicons that I slaughtered. The looks on Sal and Joe's face told me that they would never get the deadly and gory scene out of their mind. I gave them an apologetic glance as we ran, making a mental note to not let others witness my deadly fighting skills. We kept running for what seemed like hours, when we rounded another corner and came face to face with the Decepticon Warlord himself, Megatron.

"Scrap," my muttered under my breathe before I quickly gripped both Sal and Joe's shoulders, earning two scared and confused stares from the both of them.

"Tell Abri, Ratchet and Optimus that.... I'm sorry," I said to the both of them before muttering a teleportation spell, guilt entering my soul heavily for what I was about to do.

"Wait-!" Sal and Joe's yells were cut off as they were warped back to base, leaving me alone with Megatron himself.

"Well, well, well," Megatron's raspy voice boomed throughout the energon cavern, sending a shiver down my spine. "If it isn't Val Fang, Abri's long lost twin. I was wondering who killed all of my foot soldiers and freed my two prisoners." I sneered at him, quickly summoning my Cybertronian blaster and aimed it at his ugly faceplate. He chuckled darkly.

"Really now Val, is that all you have?" he purred evilly. "I expected more than this sad attempt to end me."

I didn't respond, I couldn't even if I tried. A rolling wave of worry, fear, and panic barreled down into me from Ratchet, Optimus, and Abri's bonds, making any words I wanted to say to the warlord die in my throat. I tried to block off their emotions as I smirked up at Megatron, slowly aiming the blaster away from his faceplate and towards an energon crystal that was located near multiple energon veins. Megatron's optics widen slightly in fear as he realized what I was about to do. The fear quickly disappeared however, his evil smirk reappearing.

"Are you really going to do this Val? Are you willing to sacrifice yourself to end a war that you have no part in?" he drawled out. "Are you willing to leave your family again?" As he continued to call my bluff, Ratchet, Abri and Optimus, were trying to get me to return to base.

Don't do it Val! It's not worth it! Ratchet panicked.

Valentine please! Return back to base! That is an order! Please my child! Optimus ordered, his voice revealing a hint of fear that he was trying to hide.

Please Val! Come back home! Abri's pleas were the loudest of all. Sal and Joe are safe, you can come home! Please, I can't lose you again!!

I closed my eyes, trying to hold back the tears that threaten to fall as all three of them continued to beg and plea for me to return back home. My hands shook slightly and for a split second, I almost considered just dropping the blaster and warping back to the base.

"No, I have to do this," I thought to myself. "I have to do this, for the Autobots, my family." I slowly opened my eyes, determination and calm rage glistening in my eyes.

"I'm willing to do this Megatron, because unlike you," I sneered darkly at Megatron. "I have a family, and I'm willing to do anything for them."

As I pulled the blaster's trigger, I sent a wave of sorrow and reassurance through all three bonds and a farewell message.

I'm sorry everyone, but I have to do this. If not for revenge, then to ensure that the Autobots have a better chance of winning this war. I have to do this to protect you guys, you are my family. Optimus, please don't blame yourself for this, it was my choice to make. Ratchet, don't let this affect your relationship with the team, they would need more than ever. And Abri, please remain your happy and musical self, don't stop being who you are. I am always with you, even if I'm not there. I love you all.

With those final words, I shot at the energon crystal and within moments a whirlwind of bright lights and deadly shapes appeared, followed by a thunder crashing explosion. I was blown backwards and soon my head collided roughly against the cavern wall, my head making a sickening crack that produced a massive wave of pain. My vision slowly began to disappear and I knew that my time was up.

"I'm sorry," I whispered quietly to myself before letting the darkness claim me.
