Bruno:

– he has autistic traits (like me :D)

– superstitious/ocd and (probably?) ptsd

– he may is/was su!c!dal (implied in a deleted scene)

– actually vibing to WDTAB (in the background of Dolores' part. but it also could be shapeshifted Camilo)

– he's a very honest person. that's why he can't lie about his visions/prophecies even when something negative was the outcome, the people were still upset then and blamed him, even tho he only sees the future, but doesn't control it

– his original/beta name was 'Oscar', but it was changed for 2 reasons:
1st: seemingly there were already too many Oscar Madrigals in real life-
2nd: it was changed to Bruno, so it would fit/rhyme better in WDTAB ("We don't talk about Bruno-no-no~")

– some of his VA's also voiced Sid from Ice Age

– i can't get over the fact that he's 50yo even tho he just looks like a tired & depressed 30yo-

– coincidentally, following Cinderella, Winnie the Pooh, and Pixar's Luca, Encanto is the fourth Disney animated project that uses the name Bruno, two of which have themes relating to speech, or rather the lack thereof ("Silenzio, Bruno!"/"We don't talk about Bruno"). Cinderella’s Bruno is a hound, Winnie the Pooh’s Bruno is a robot monkey, Luca’s Bruno is a fictional person who tells you to do things, and Encanto’s Bruno is a funny, paranoid man that used to live with rats

– he remembers Bruno as "7 foot frame" because the last time he saw him he was 5, and everyone looked giant then, sooo yeah-

– also, talking about the "7 foot frame" line: he definitely didn't mean Bruno's door's frame bc:
1st: his door is as height as the others
2nd: in other dubs he literally says that Bruno is tall
(for example, in the german dub he says "'ne riesen Gestalt" (translation: "a huge/giant figure"))

Mirabel

– her original/beta name was Beatriz

– there's a theory why she didn't get a gift: after she touched the candle, she wiped her hands on her dress before touching the doorknob, so maybe she accidentally wiped the magic off, yk-

– Bruno, Agustín and Mirabel are def the clumsiest ones out of the family

– due to their sensory powers, Bruno and Dolores are the only family members that their doors depict with eyes open. They are also the only two to not appear smiling on their doors

– speaking of the doors: seemingly, everyone appears as their adult-self on their door, even when they achieved their gift as 5-year-old. except for Antonio, he appears as his present self on the door. hmmm...

– everyone's gifts are hinted on their clothing. for example, Alma has a candle on her dress, Isa has flowers (obviously), Luisa has weights(?) on her skirt, Bruno has (one? a few?) hourglass/es on his ruana, etc. Mirabel has everyone's symbols somewhere on her skirt, as a hint that she's basically the family's spirit
