Looks like the next Call of Duty of this year is for the Black Ops series and its name is Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War (コール・オブ・デューティー：ブラックオプス コールドウォー Kōru Obu Deyūti: Burakku Opusu Kōrudo Uō). The campaign this time will set during the Cold War (冷戦 Reisen) in the early 1980s, which "inspired by actual events". The campaign "will come face-to-face with historical figures and hard truths, as they battle around the globe through iconic locales like East Berlin, Vietnam, Turkey, Soviet KGB HQ, and more.

In 1981, President Ronald Reagan learns of Perseus, a Soviet spy, and authorizes a black operation led by the CIA officer Russell Adler and his SAD/SOG team, to counter Perseus. There are some of the old characters who will return to this game, such as Alex Mason, Frank Woods, and Jason Hudson, who will also participate in the operation.

In the campaign, we will use the playable character codenamed Bell (ベル Beru) and like the Black Ops III, we can customize the character with different skin tones, ethnic backgrounds, and genders as well as different personality traits that provide in-game perks. And again like the Black Ops II, the campaign has multiple endings which depend on our choices throughout the campaign.

As usual, the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will be released at the end of the year on 13th November 2020 for Playstation®4, Playstation®5, Xbox One, an upcoming Xbox (4th generation), and Microsoft Windows.
