The Balcony Scene

Its just the same one only in third POV

She knew that it was inevitable, it was coming and there was nothing that she could have done to change anything. She was being stubborn and didn’t want to admit to her faults or even acknowledge them. It was obvious that if she hadn’t been so stubborn than things wouldn’t have been this bad off but there she stood. Her body stood motionless and a tense aura surrounded her as the paramedics walked throughout the the living room. Bitter thoughts ran through her mind as she saw everyone walked through the room, the room that she considered a very private family room. She stood there silently as everyone passed her by and selfish thoughts entered her mind. She didn't want to be left here all alone and she knew that her thoughts were indeed selfish but she couldn't help it, she didn't want to feel that sense of abandonment again. She finally snapped out of her day dream when she saw her being lifted on the gurney and that's when her body finally started to move. Irrational fear started to cloud her judgement.

As she looked down into her eyes, she knew that this was it. She had to take responsibility and toughen up. Her mind ran dizzy at the thought that she let this drag out this long and only at the last minute did she finally call for help. To do this to someone that she loves dearly, it is unforgivable to her. She was breaking down and she knew it but there was nothing that she could do at the moment. The powerless feeling taunting her every being and just making the situation that much harder to deal with. Trying to look for a distraction she looked over to the left but didn't find much comfort there. Instead there he stood, she didn't understand why he was here. Was it out of pity? He never really cared in the first place.

At that moment his eyes looked into her and just like always they were unreadable. Like a porcelain doll, hollow and empty on the inside. She didn't want him to be here but he was so there was nothing that she could do now. Her hands were clammy along with every part of her body, her whole body was trembling by now and she couldn't stop it. She didn't want to believe that this situation was real but no matter how hard she tried to will it away the situation, this was real. When the paramedics started wheeling the gurney out the door she ran after them. The cold air outside instantly wrapped around her but she wasn't worried about the cold. As she walked towards the ambulance puffs of smoke came out, she was shaking not from the cold but from all the possibilities of what could happen. The bright lights coming from the ambulance temporarily blinded her from the dark night sky. They wouldn’t allow her into the ambulance so she stood there and watched as her as the paramedics lifted her lifeless body into the ambulance and then climbed into the back themselves.

After that night she was alone day in and day out, there was no one really understood what she was thinking and she was okay with that. She wanted space to think alone and everyday she would pace back and forth in the same room at the same time in the same spot trying to think but always came up blank. Her mind was empty as she paced back and forth, in reality she didn’t want to think about anything, she just wanted to hide in her shell and pretend that none of this was happening. That this was all a bad dream and she would wake up soon and then that’s when  the sleepless nights. She still continued her normal life at school, talked to her friends, sat down and ate dinner with her ‘family’ but at the end of the day she was back in that room. It continued like this for two weeks, she was cut off from even having a glimpse at her face and it was pure hell. After two weeks of no contact she was finally able to see her again, it was enough that she could see her face once again. All of the stress was just washed away as soon as she entered the hospital room, sitting in the chair was the most comforting thing she has felt in the longest time. Every time that she heard the the PA announced that visiting hours were over she didn’t want to leave the comforting feeling,

She didn’t want to leave and find out that she’ll never be able to see her ever again. Every time she would leave the room a horrible gaping feeling would fill her chest. For months and months she waited for that one phone call and then one day she finally got it, she was finally coming home. On that day she ran from school to their house as fast as she could and as she came to the driveway a smile broke onto her face. She ran up to her and wrapped her arms around her, all the weight on her shoulders finally being lifted off. Relief washed over her body as all the her worries faded away when she wrapped her arms around her. She knew that at last she was home.
