Someone dared me to make a chapter about how exactly I got into anime and manga. If I refused then I'd have to kiss the guy I like on the cheek when ever I see him again, aaaaaaand Miss FullThrottleFairy-chawn isn't exactly prepared to die from bloodloss and embarasment just yet, so here I am! So we'll start off with Manga because that story isn't as interesting as Anime. Here goes nothing.

Once Upon a Time I was walking to my desk in my 7th grade history class when I saw that someone from the previous class left a book on the desk in front of me. Well since no one else was in the room and I wanted to die because of a test we were taking in that class, and curiosity did kill the cat and people called me Cat, I decided to look at it and see what the hell it was. Keep in mind, this wasn't my first encounter with manga, my friend Kaitlyn had shown me this manga called Doubt, it's just I wasn't really into it at the time and didn't want to try and struggle with learing how to read a panel similar to a comic book backwards. Anywho, I grabbed it before that person or anyone else had gotten to the classroom and sat down to look at it. The manga was called Toradora (As to where Lucas in Fairy Tail: Beach Vacation got his last name from), and it seemed like something I'd get interested in. I started reading it (using my knowledge my friend Kaitlyn had given me on how to properly and correctly read this type of book) and suddenly I was really interested in it. Although I haven't really had the time/money to go and read the rest of the series or watch the anime, I thought that maybe I would try and read the manga my friend had tried to get me to read, and was hooked to it (Like holy shit the drama and mystery in it was suspenseful, and then you find out that Rei was behind it! Oml). After that, I wasn't really interested in manga but transitioned into anime which I then found out that most of the time an anime was based from a manga, and was like "Fuck yeah, let's go and read the manga for these!"

And that's the end of the Manga Story. Now it's time to get into the interesting story. The Anime Story.

Once Upon a Time I was 10. And even though I didn't know it at the time, I loved to watch anime. I always watched Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon (Although I really don't consider Pokemon anime, but everyone else in America does so, oh well). I was so into Yu-Gi-Oh, that I collected an ass-load of Duel Monster cards and kicked people's ass when ever I saw someone whip out a deck of Duel Monsters cards. Like, I had Exodia, I had a Blue Eyes White Dragon, I had a Dark Magaician. You name it, I had it (I even had a Kuriboh, and that thing is adorable as fuck). But, me being 10, I didn't really consider it anime cause, as far as I was concerned, everything that was animated was a cartoon......... until the day I was introduced to Fairy Tail. That day was the officail day I started to dig myself a hole that I wouldn't be able to crawl out of for a while. So it all happened the night of my 13th birthday party. My friends, Jaida and Chris were staying the night, and Jaida and I were getting pretty bored. Jaida looks at me and says,"Dude, do you wanna watch something that's epicly hilarious?" I was hesitant because usually, something that was "epicly hilarious" ended up being something that would scar me for life, but in the end I said,"Sure. What is it?"

"It's a show called Fairy Tail," she said. "Fairy Tail? As in, like princesses and dragons?" I asked. "No, no, no. Fairy Tail. It's something called 'anime'. You'll love it just watch it," Jaida said and grabbed my phone, pulling up Netflix and searching for Fairy Tail. Now remember, I was still clueless to what anime was, so I would ask when she pulled it up if this was a cartoon, and she would go off on a rampage like,"Anime is nothing like a cartoon!" and stuff like that. So we watched the first episode........ and then ended up staying up till 4 o'clock in the morning marathoning it. When we reached episode 49 (Because that's all they show on Netflix) I screamed,"THIS CAN'T BE IT! THERE HAS TO BE MORE!" So then she pulled up a heavenly website called Kissanime.com and pulled up a ton of Fairy Tail episodes, OVAs, and a movie and said,"Welcome to the Dark Side, we have cookies." After that, I slowly started to get suggesttions, and then I started to find some on my own and the hole started to get farther and farther away from
the surface. When my friends came back, and I told them of all the new anime I have discovered and all of the manga I have read, they started to call me the Monster of Otaku's, (Aside from the nick-name of Medusa that other people my age called me because I didn't put up with none of their pussy drama and would scare them off if they tried to pick a fight with me). So now, I have blossomed into a beautiful anime, manga, fanfiction, and fanart butterfly that can destroy people who mess with me 😊.
