Okay here's a bit of context:

I had to write a piece of creative writing  (poem/song lyric/short story/vignette ) inspired by an Albatross (we were studying The Rime of the Ancient Mariner and Taylor Swift's song The Albatross (yes our course is based on Taylor Swift songs hehehe))

I was gonna do a short story at first cuz all my life I was like "Nah i can't do poetry or song writing cuz it's too hard" but then the short story turned out terrible so i decided to change it then I had a sudden late-night-inspiration and ended up writing a poem. And in the end i was like "woah this is actually really good! :0"

I just wanted to share it with you guys and maybe get some feedback :>

Call me pretty, I'll be your joy

Call me sweet, I'll be yours

Give me love, I'll give it back

Like a mirror, in an instant

Shine it down, like the light

I'll use it now, and take flight

I'll lift you up, in the sky

We will float, for so long

Away from them, I'll keep you safe

They can't fly, you'll be on your way

Away from the thorns, away from the cliffs

That threaten your bones, lest you slip

I'll keep you safe throughout the storm

I'll lead you out, together we'll soar

But beware, you turn that 'round, and it won't last

Soon enough, we'll go flat

Call me sour, I'll be your lime

Call me a storm, I'll be your fright

Shoot me down, it's a two way street

As I go down, you'll come with me

Pull my feathers, one too many times

I'll drop you down, despite your demise

I'll be your burden to carry around

Like a hound, I'll chase you down

So think it through, 'fore you rile me up

For I am, an albatross

It does sound slightly cringe but like... it's somethin'. Ya know?
