Top 10 MHA fights

Hey guys. I'm counting down my top 10 My Hero Academia fights. I've wanted to make this for a while now but haven't really gotten motivated to do so. But here it is. My top 10 fights in the show. I thought over these fights before making the list then re watched them to see where they went on the list. Though number one is always going to be my number one. I also used fights that have been only shown in the anime so far.

And before we start I want to state something. Biases towards characters and ships will not affect my rankings for these fights. More so for the latter. I want to judge these fights fairly on their own without what the fandom decided to take from these fights.

Anyways. Onto the countdown.

10. Bakugou vs Uraraka

This is why I put that warning above. If you know me, you know I don't like the ship between these two. But that isn't going to stop me from liking this fight. Uraraka never really gets fights without Midoriya being there, but when she does go alone, she's really good. And it's great development for her, even refusing to get advise from Midoriya. She still thinks about Midoriya, but not about what he would do, just to be like him. She makes her own strategy and it's a solid one. And seeing her determination in this fight really shows how far she can go as a hero.

And Bakugou on his end played right in blasting her to keep his distance. He knows that she dangerous up close. And even Bakugou can be shown to respect an opponent in battle which really makes sense given his character. He would clearly need to be in a fight to earn someone's respect.

And even though I knew she wasn't going to win, I still wanted her to. And the moment that really hit hard, was at the end when she was about to go unconscious and it flashes to her as a kid saying she wants to give her parents a good life. And the part that hit harder, when she talked to her dad. It was a moment of good character development.

9. Midoriya and Bakugou vs All Might

Midoriya and Bakugou teaming up against All Might. This can only go well. The thing I like most about this fight isn't the fight itself. It's the team work behind Midoriya and Bakugou. Before you say anything, let me explain. The team work they displayed goes as horribly wrong as you would expect from these two. But I also love the connection back to their childhood. The flashbacks to when they were kids showing their admiration towards All Might really gives us more depth on their rivalry. But I'll talk more about that later. They did do good when they actually did work together.

And their fight against All Might................................goes as well as you'd think. He just smacks them around like ragdolls and even hits one of them with another. He hits a child with another child. It's just fun to see how All Might decides to smack these kids around. And his power is both suppressed and weakened from passing it on so it's pretty scary to imagine how terribly wrong this fight could go in his prime wearing those.

I really enjoyed this fight for the development and the slap around.

8. Midoriya, Iida, and Todoroki vs Stain

I had trouble deciding whether to put this or the previous entry in this spot. But I decided to put this one here because of the events that followed shortly after and as a whole. This fight was an emotional and amazingly done given its environment. An alley way isn't usually one of my favorite environments for a group fight like this due to the limited space. But DAMN this makes it look bigger than it actually is. The angles and shots in this fight doesn't even make it look like it's in an alleyway. I really appreciate when any show or movie can make a boring environment look awesome.

Iida in this fight had amazing development. I'm going to keep bringing that up quite a bit in this list. I loved seeing just how far someone like him will go to avenge his brother. Not even he's immune to the overwhelming desire of revenge. And his voice actor gives a chilling performance here.

Midoriya utilizing his new style is great to see and has a great debut. I liked seeing him in a fight using his new technique and still making strategies. And Todoroki also has a great debut with his new costume and fighting style using his fire the second time.

Now for the one we've been waiting for, Stain. This man in terrifying. His movements, killing techniques, and dialogue are of someone that exudes bloodlust. And the scariest thing about him that makes this fight interesting, his morals. His belief that the world needs to change its views on heroes really does make everyone in the story, and the readers, think. It's still something that impacts the story now. And his stand against the heroes before his arrest is chilling. Stain is a very imposing villain with great morals that made this fight greater.

7. Kirishima and Fatgum vs Rappa

Here we go. My boy Kirishima! Kirishima, before this season, was a relatively unused character. The most he had was the fight against Tetsutetsu and when he helped rescue Bakugou. His fight against the thug in previous episodes before this one definitely made him cooler, but not a higher character. Until this episode. His backstory of what he was like in middle school is a definite contrast to the Kirishima we know. I loved seeing how different he was when he was in middle school and how it impacted him when he got into UA. His cowardice and timidity at the sight of danger is interesting to see. And when he realized that he would never stop when others are in danger, that's when things get awesome. His stand against Rappa was amazingly animated and his voice actor really gave it his all.

And Fatgum shows why he is an awesome character. Even more than he already has. With skinny gum and his final blow. And Rappa wasn't interesting, but was a great obsticle for Kirishima to overcome his flaws and protect his friend.

Plus, it gave one of my favorite ships. This doesn't influence my placing, but it is a nice bonus.

This was a great fight and arose was a manly hero.

6. All Might vs Nomu

Not all fights need to be deep or meaningful. Sometimes, they just need to have people beating the shit out of each other. And this is what we get. This fight seemed like an impossible one to win. All Might has to fight a creature that has hyper regeneration, strength enhancers, and shock absorption so it can take All Might at 100 percent. Now most Shonens would have the hero come up with a strategy to win. But he takes the Goku route to just hit harder. And it's a working idea.

And before this fight, we never really see just how strong All Might is besides when he defeated the sludge villain. But this fight truly shows us why he's the Symbol of Peace. His undying determination, immeasurable strength, he truly earned his title. And when he delivered that final punch and yelling Plus Ultra, mmm so good.

This fight was a fast paced and impactful, literally impactful, showdown that I'd be ahppy to see any time. It's also the fight I associate most with You Say Run.

5. Midoriya vs Todoroki

Tododeku shippers, sit down.

This is the first fight where we see Midoriya save someone's heart rather than saving their lives. We'll get to another one of those examples later. Todoroki is a good character that has a good backstory. And unbelievably powerful. But emotionally, he's pretty weak. Midoriya made it his mission to save him from himself. He broke his fingers, arm, fingers again, and showed how far he'll go to save someone.

And the flashbacks to Todoroki's childhood served as a great way to make us feel sorry for him and hate his dad.

(AN: I'm a manga reader and in full support of Endadvour)

And when he shouted those impactful words "It's your quirk not his!" and that final flashback, the true fight begins. Amazing animation, a meme Endeavour face, and an overall great fight.

4. Midoriya vs Muscular

GodDAMN this fight knows how to give the chills, doesn't it? This is another example of saving someone's heart as well as saving them from a villain. And this was the second best example that truly shows the kind of hero he is. And he was so outmatched in this fight. When he started getting crushed and apologized to his mom, it nearly made me tear up and made me realize something I'll go over in a later entry.

When he delivers that final smash, we knew just how well this kid would be a great hero. And not just because his narration said he would be.

3. Midoriya vs Bakugou rematch

This fight is, in my opinion, the most emotional and one of the most important in the entire series. The rematch between childhood friends turned rivals. This fight had great action and so much emotion from both sides. And what made them proper rivals. After the provisional license exam, Bakugou confronts Midoriya about getting All Might's power and  wants to fight with Midoriya because he failed and Midoriya succeeded. At first this just seems like Bakugou picking a fight for no reason than to be a dick. But then, this happens.

We've only seen Bakugou cry two times before this. But both times it was when he was angry and his pride was shot. But here, it's different. He's still angry, but for another reason. He's angry at himself for being weak and thinking he caused All might's retirement. This time, he's broken. Things are really put into perspective. He's fighting to prove he isn't weak. He shows us that there is more to his character than just being an angry bully. This scene, whether it be dubbed or subbed, always makes me tear up.

And things get more emotional when Midoriya boosts himself to 8 percent. Things get more evenly matched and the animation gets better and beautiful. These two have a long history and this shows the peak of their rivalry at this point. And after this fight, it's an even mathup with 1 win vs 1 win.

But it doesn't stop there with what comes after that really makes things come into perspective. When All Might comes in. When he confronts Bakugou and he tells him about the guilt he's been feeling, he apologizes for wanting them to be adults and forgetting they're kids. And that's something I'm glad was addressed that isn't in a lot of shows.

These are children. Barely out of middle school and are dumped with all this responsibility and expected to handle it as adults. But they never address how these things affect them mentally. No one asked Bakugou "Are you okay" after the sludge villain incident. They only saw him as strong and it made things worse for him.  So All Might apologizing, really made things come to perspective.

He then tells them how if they can work past their differences and work together, they can make the best hero. One that saves and wins. And this look, is all that's needed to show that they acknowledge this fact

I don't care what Bakugou haters say. This was a defining moment in the series' history. For both these characters. And this is what made him one of my favorite characters.

2. Midoriya vs Overhaul

This fight was amazing. The climax of the Shie Hassaikai arc, and it is spectacular. This fight was crazy in the manga and I was hyped to see it in the anime. And it did not disappoint in the least. Overhaul's monstrous form vs Midoriya's infinite 100 percent. It was clear who was gonna win and oh my god was it awesome. Seeing Midoriya using 100 percent full cowling is so awesome and improved, at least in my opinion, from the manga.

He went from Green Naruto to Green Goku. Jokes aside, this was a blast to watch and I'd watch it anytime.

Before we get to our number one, let's do some honorable mentions.

Endeavour vs High End a.k.a Hood.

This fight was interesting to read and made Endeavour one of my favorite characters. If I waited just one more week to make this, this would probably be on the list.

Midoriya vs Gentle Criminal

I really liked Gentle Criminal and thought he was a good commentary on how far YouTubers would go for their videos. The love power up was definitely interesting and added to his original quirk made for a pleasing fight.

Bakugou vs Todoroki

An enjoyable fight and shows more of Bakugou's psyche with when he wins, but can't accept it.

1. All Might vs All For One

Here it is. My number one MHA fight. The symbol of peace vs the symbol of chaos. And it did not disappoint. The fight felt slow because Bakugou was there keeping All Might from going all out. But he didn't need to go all out to feel the pressure emanating from these two. And when Bakugou gets rescued, everything picks up from there. All Might's rage filled voice as he delivers a speech to All For One and breaks his mask, but we see half of his face already going weak makes everyone worry what's going to happen. Then shocking moment when everyone sees his weakened form. None of us knew what to expect. Then the reveal of Shigaraki being Nana's grandson.

Everything just seemed completely hopeless. But then a moment that always gives me goosebumps. Everyone cheering for All Might, telling him to go on and keep fighting. And seeing him fighting in a mangled form with a bigger right arm and the rest is his weak form, made things both amazing and terrifying.

Then the final clash. This fight was impactful and meant an end to one era. And even the series felt different after this fight and going on forward. The audience could feel the change from the old guard to the new heroes. Nothing was the same after this fight. The League of Villains were without a leader. The world was without a symbol of peace. And he declared to Midoirya "Now it's your turn." All these moments sent chills down everyone's spines.

And do we even need to mention this

That was my top 10 MHA lists. I'd like to know your top 10 fights in the comments. Tell me your thoughts on these fights.
