" Come on Jace. You look good. " says Clary.

" I always look good Fray. Still though, this costume  looks stupid. " says Jace.

" You're dressed as Thor. It matches you blonde hair. It looks cute. " says Clary.

" Why do we have to dress up again?" Asks Jace.

" Because you wanted to know how mundanes celebrate their holidays and Halloween is on we celebrate. We dress up, little kids go door to door to get candy. Adults and older teens like us go to parties that have costume contests and you can win prizes. Or you could go to haunted houses and other cool stuff. " says Clary.

" Ohh, a haunted house sounds like fun." Says Jace.

" You think you can handle a haunted house? It's pretty scary. " says Clary.

" Ha! Please, I'm a Shadowhunter. I hunt and kill demons. I think I can handle a haunted house. " says Jace.

" Very well then. I thought you'd say that. That's why we already planned on going the the haunted house down town. Magnus loves to go there. " says Clary. She was dressed as a cheerleader.

" Then let's get moving. " says Jace.

She smiled, though it looked more like a smirk to Jace. They walked out of the Institute together and met up with Simon and Isabelle who were talking and holding hands.

Simon was dressed to look like a male model, ( Isabelle's idea.), and Isabelle was dressed as Cleopatra. Which wasn't a bad look for her and it went well with her raven black hair.

" Hey, finally. Magnus and Alec are already at the haunted house. We better get moving. " says Isabelle. They nodded and Jace took Clary's hand before the four started to walk towards the haunted house.

It took only twenty minutes before they met up with Magnus and Alec. Jace'a jaw dropped when he saw his Parabatai.

Alec was in tight, black leather clothing. His hair was spiked up. He had a microphone in his hand and was actually wearing make up.

He almost looked like....

" Alec you look like Adam Lambert. " cried Clary.

" I told you people would see it. " says Magnus.

Alec just rolled his eyes. Magnus had a cat like outfit. " Let me guess. You picked that outfit so you could show you're cat eyes and no one would question it right?" Says Clary.

" You got it Clary. " says Magnus.

She grinned at Jace. " Well you all ready. This haunted house is the scariest one around for miles. I personally love it. " says Magnus.

" Let's do this." Says Isabelle and Simon at the same time.

Clary smiled at Jace. They walked forward. Jace just barely heard Alec lean over to Magnus and say, " This place doesn't have any spinsters or clowns does it?"

Magnus just giggled. Alec sighed. " You could have warned me. " says Alec.

" Aww, what's the fun in that." He laughed. Alec growled. " Oh don't worry. It won't be that bad. " says Magnus.

Jace chuckled. He'd have to remember what Alec is scared of for future pranks.

They were stopped at a door. " Everyone take a pair of 3-D glasses. There are neon lights and very bad flashes that could hurt you're eyes in there. Please be careful and follow you're Tour Guide, you do not wish to get lost. The Tour Guide will lead you through. Please, enjoy. " says the guy passing them all glasses.

Clary grinned as they all put some on. She looked at Jace and kissed his cheek.

" Don't worry. You can hold onto me if you get scared. " says Clary.

Jace glared at her for a second. Then the doors opened and they walked in.

It was pitch black. The only light was coming from the door, then it slammed closed and it was dark.

They walked straight forward. " No turning back now. " says Isabelle.

They kept walking. After ten feet and blinking spot light suddenly flashed and standing there was a guy.

He started talk in a scary monstrous voice. " I am you're tour guide. "

The lights blinked and suddenly he was closer. " You must follow me in order to stay on tack. If you don't..." He disappeared again with the blinking of the lights and was suddenly in front of them. Simon was the only one that jumped. He was grinning though.

" The consequences might just... Kill you." Says the guy.

Then the other spotlights came on. " Follow me." Says the guy before turning and walking away.

They followed. It wasn't long before they turned left. They could hear screams from down the halls.

" You call this scary." Says Jace.

" Shush. We haven't started yet. " says Clary.

" Please enter the room to you're right. Don't be long. " says the guide. They entered the room.

Jace froze right away. There were huge people in mangled duck costumes.

They snickered and looked at Jace. " Having fun yet?" Says Clary.

" How about I answer that question while we're running away." Says Jace.

Clary giggled. Then they looked at them and started walking forward. They had red drool, almost like blood dripping out of the mangled cracked beaks.

Heavy breaths coming from them. As they got closer Jace started backing away to the door.

Magnus smirked. He looked to see everyone was now backing up. He took that as their time to leave.

They left that room and were lead down the hall. They were told to walk into another room.

It was empty aside from the creepy bright blinking light that was there.

Suddenly however, once the door was closed. The lights changed to bright red and green lights and gives pictures of creepy clowns and monsters appeared.

So sudden, everyone including Magnus jumped. Alec and Simon yelled out when it appeared.

" Ok, yeah let's leave this room. Now. " says Alec.

They did. They went through a inch of other rooms that got all of them to scream. Magnus was laughing though.

When they left, they were all staring in shock.

" Cool Huh? " says Magnus.

" It was fun. " says Jace.

" It was more funny when the zombies jumped out and took Jace into the next room." Says Isabelle.

" That wasn't funny. " cried Jace.

" You screamed liked a girl. Man I wish I could have recorded it. " cried Alec laughing his head off.

" I told you you'd have fun. The way the stuff jumped out more cause of the glasses was awesome. " says Clary. She leaned up and kissed him on the lips. After a few seconds he responded and kissed back.

" Fine it was fun. " says Jace finally after they broke away.

They laughed. " Well what about when the blood covered clowns took Alec hostage until one of us did something for him." Says Jace.

Alec growled. " You're no fair. " snarled Alec.

" Yeah sorry Alec. Probably should have warned you they took hostages. " says Magnus.

" They got Magnus and Clary to do the Macarena though. " says Simon.

They all burst out laughing. " Let's go again!!" Cried Clary.

They all agreed and on they went to go through it again.
