Steven Is hurting. (spoliers - Homeworld bound)
*breath* OKAY.
Before I get Into this, spoiler warning for Homeworld bound. I am going to give my thoughts on this. And what I think will happen In the next few episodes. And yes this is weird for me since I have not written a chapter In a while. I'm trying to be more active on here.
First off, the corruption theory is looking more and more plausible every episode. I am VERY worried about Steven. It's most concerning that he tried to bash White's head In. I'm honestly a little pissed about that, this is Jaspers doing.
On that note, I am very upset with Jasper. She manipulated Steven In a time of need and re-programmed his way of taking his anger out. In a horrible way may I add. Now that leads to him deforesting and trying to injure/kill White. She took advantage of Steven because she Is bored. Jasper is becoming more of an asshole every episode. I've never liked her to begin with but now I'm officially over her.
Steven was taken advantage of by her. Now we have a very very bad situation on our hands. I honestly think Steven is going to be corrupted because he isn't letting anybody In. At this point, It's a little his fault. He is outright refusing to let anybody help him. You may disagree but trauma or not he knows the gems love him and he is acting like they don't. After countless attempts of the Gems trying to get through to him and desperately letting him know they care he still shuts them out.
I have defiantly felt like Steven before, feeling like I'd rather deal with my problems on my own instead of telling those around me. In turn, having those problems slowly eat away at me because I bottled up all my emotions.
I feel Steven really needs to at least try to open up, Greg screwed up when he basically ignored Steven on the phone because he was on tour but he didn't really know. That was one time Steven tried to talk about what was happening but got shut down. I'm sure he feels like his problems are not worth everybody's time from how he's been treated. But that doesn't mean he can't try again, at least once?
Maybe with one of the gems or someone who will understand a little what he is going through. That brings me on to the next point. I know many of you may disagree but I believe the person who will finally get through to him will be surprising enough, Connie. If you think about It, Connie being the one to help Steven makes a lot of sense. They have the real shit, shared trauma.
They were both locked away In a jail cell on homeworld, they were both stuck on a planet together where they saw a vision of pink. They both almost died to a giant bird monster. They bonded from sword fighting and fought Jasper together. Trapped In Steven's bubble at the bottom of the ocean where they thought they were going to die. Harassed by Kevin, almost drown to death by Lapis.
They both suffered so much together. Connie has had a lot less but she still has experienced these things with Steven more than anybody else. I think that's why Steven tried to propose, he feels Connie is the only person who really understands him. Jermy I know you're definitely going to disagree but I feel Connie has changed. She is really growing and I feel she will be the one to help Steven when he needs It most.
Those were my thoughts and my theory on who will help Steven. I forgot how much I liked writing chapters that was a lot of fun. I am definitely going to be writing more and I am going to be posting something special for the finale. Tell me your thoughts and If you agree! ❤
