Okay, you all know I like Connie. If you read that first sentence and decided to disregard everything I'm about to say just listen for a moment.

The reason I still like Connie after her questionable decision making is because she is human, and humans make mistakes. People should not be judged for past mistakes so harshly especially when they are a child. Connie was only 13 - 14 at the time when all the things people are bashing her for happened.

Heck, the whole episode snow day is about learning to accept someone for how they are now and not clinging to the past. I think we should put second chances and forgiveness above malice and hatred in my humble opinion.

I think Connie helped shape Steven to who he is. She helped him be human, reminding him that he doesn't need to be special to be her friend. When Steven was surrounded by the Gems and his unknown and scary future Connie was always by his side to watch Dog-copter and stuff their faces with animal by-products. She let him be a kid, she let him be human.

Jeremy, I disagree with you saying that Connie isn't a crystal gem because Peridot and Lapis are considered crystal gems. Why? Because they want to help protect the earth and all its living creatures. When Connie took up sword fighting she became a crystal gem in my opinion because she sought to protect Steven and her home.

Saying that I don't think Connie not being in the episode Snow day is what made it bad. That was simply us speculating based on the name, getting our hopes up then having them crushed. Okay, that was a little dramatic, we just like the character. The same as we like Spinel, I'm sure if an episode was titled "The Garden" or something I would be freaking out happy we were going to see Spinel again! And when we didn't sure it doesn't make the episode bad or worse we are just a tad disappointed we didn't get to see a character we love.

I will get into why I'm disappointed in suf in another chapter but it's not because of Connie. Okay maybe a little bit, but that's defiantly not the whole reason.
