*sigh*, I really wanted to keep this book positive but something has come up that I need to address. My dear buddy ol' pal XxDiamond_GodxX has recently received a rather off-putting "review" on his fan fiction.

What he said could be taken both ways It's practically the same thing however he wants to twist it to make himself look better. I used one wrong word, sorry. Everything you said was so rude I had to force my brain to compute with your arrogance, sorry for me not wanting to remember every little disgusting word you said.

Well said, I couldn't have put it better! I'll now say my opinion and why this was wrong and should have not been marked as Criticism, hence the title.

First off criticism is something all writers dread from time to time, it hurts to see something you worked hard on be looked at in a bad light. I and a lot of writers openly accept criticism, constructive criticism that is, to see what a reader likes and dislikes about the story, and what THEY as a reader think the author or artist could do better! The best way to give good and polite criticism is to clearly state what you could do better.

This is an example of GOOD constructive criticism of a fanfiction that I've read. I asked the author if they wanted to hear my thoughts first and THEN proceeded to tell them, not shoving it down their throats before they were ready or willing to hear your opinion. You don't have to ask for permission, I get it's on a public site but it's the polite thing to do, and using private messaging is better because then there is no risk of the writer getting embarrassed for having flaws in their writing called out. Here is what I said AND added some examples of what they could do better, even adding a sample of something that could add to their story and explaining it in an easy to understand manner. That is how criticism should be given, ZW-5052 even took it the wrong way at first and I made sure to let them know that they are doing great and the things I brought up are just some things I think they could personally improve on! ❤

Perfect example of constructive criticism, no need to be an asshole. I'm going to @ you here because this is something you need to hear, criticism isn't always needed SK33T3R. If you are not going to try and help the author improve by telling them what they could do better then what is the point? You went out of you're way to write a hateful, unproductive and hurtful "review" and actually had the audacity to mask it as criticism. I don't like hating on people but honestly, shame on you. From what I've seen you are a wannabee critic whose arrogance is the size of the moon. Wanting your opinion to be put on some imaginary pedestal, hurting an innocent bystander in the process. XxDiamond has wrongfully gotten a lot of hate, I regret immensely throwing shade towards XxDiamond over something I didn't fully understand, I hate to be on the list of people who have hurt him and have tried my best to make amends, you are the newest member on the list, no wonder why he wants to leave Wattpad. You need to understand that what you say can seriously hurt someone, the pen is mightier than the sword.

I need to stress things again If criticism is not constructive or helping anyone what's the point? You are supposedly helping XxDiamond by berating him with insults and masking it as criticism? Last time I checked calling someone's work a piece of shit and "pathetic" as you so lovingly put it is the easiest way to make someone lose hope and even give up on writing altogether. Call his hard work an abomination and the cherry on top of the asshole Sunday you gave his story a rating, a rating that nobody fucking asked for excuse my French.

Please ask permission and give good, real criticism next time instead of spewing insults on an undeserving individual.
