A/N: now on to Z.

2. Dragon Ball Z.

Z was the sequel series to the original dragon ball and was the series that would set the foundation of dragon ball as a whole.

Pros:

1. It had a very nice transition of years between the original dragon ball to the beginning of Z to give us a versions of the characters just a few years later now after their long days of peace.

2. We get some interesting settings in the show from a few small areas on earth to some planets we get to see throughout the sagas. Like planet namek or the world of the kais.

3. It had some really neat and well done music similar to the music from the original. And like the original, it captures the feel and ton of the moments that the music plays in and it really goes well.

4. The continuity is held relatively well in the show and really remembers good with what came before it.

5. The Villains of the show were some of the best that we would get in anime for quite some time.

6. The attacks in the series would be the start of some of the most unique and awesome ones we would get in later installments of the franchise. Favorite attack in Z being Final Flash.

7. The very first introduction of super saiyan felt amazing and majestic in a way. A reawakened legend that vegeta hoped to achieve and what frieza hoped to never see. It would be a form that would be a mainstay in the franchise.

8. Some of the new characters that were introduced in Z were very good for the most part and they were very good help for the characters going on through the sagas of z. King kai with goku and the others and the supreme kai and elder kai with goku and gohan.

9. The twist of goku as a being from another world from another world was an actually rather impressive twist as the time being, no one really knew goku was that and was just a guy who use to have a monkey tail and very strong. Though, it is sort of predictable nowadays.

10. It's ending was a really great one for the most part. While I did say that it was a great one, I personally think the endings of the original, GT and Super were better. But in it's own respected way, it's a very well done ending.

Cons:

1. Krillin for the most part, while did get some good moments in the anime, was treated like a punching bag. The same with yamcha.

2. Goku seemed a little out of characters at times. This could be seen in when he let gohan to go fight cell.

3. Overly complicated Time travel which would later come back in Super.

4. To me, the overall pacing wasn't as good as it could be even in Kai (that's right, I said it). It's about as long as later arcs but there are just a bunch of episodes of nothing too interesting happening

5. All humans Z Fighters and Piccolo were given the back seat later in the show to where they don't even fight anymore

6. Gohan was built up as this next defender of earth, only for goku to come back later and of course be the main focus again.

7. While buu's struggle with the other part of himself whenever he would get angry and try to not let it out was a rather interesting concept. I Just didn't think it was done in further detail to actually seen how much the struggle was serious. I personally thought 21's version of her struggle was done better. (fight me).

8. I am not a fan of the linda young voiced frieza from the orignal funimation dub. No disrespect to the voice actress, but frieza didn't sound anywhere near as intimidating or a threat as he did in Kai. It sounded like he had a constant sore throat and anytime he laughed, I felt as if he was gonna cough. Again, I'm not meaning any disrespect to linda young.
