A/N: since there's people pointing the finger at one company each. Well, I'd say it's both their fault for this.

Sony: 

*A greedy company.

*Disney wanted to do 50/50 so both companies could get equal the amount of money to make from these movies.

Disney: 

*A much more greedy company.

*Asked for more money.

But I'll say this, at least Disney was trying to ask for a even amount between the two before hand. They were only getting about 5% compared to all the shit Sony makes from The Spiderman films. Disney wanted to try and sweeten the deal. But, it was Disney wanting to try and make more money than already. But, Much like Disney, Sony reacted Poorly in this situation as well. And hell, had Disney even tried going for at least 20% or 10%, Sony still probably would have still said no because Money. None of these idiots
