My Take on The Extended Version of the Bike Scene from Captain Marvel
A/N: I thought I should give my take that have been given to this scene that was cut from captain marvel.

To start things off, I myself wasn't a fan of this scene myself since it seemed to play a little too much like Terminator 2 and the none extended version of this was better in my opinion since It felt more like one of those things in movies where a girl either jacks a guys ride for being a dick or does something to it while they walk it somewhere. One of those typical things in movies. Here, it just didn't feel right.
However, my problem is how people are looking at this scene and call Captain Marvel a villain. While I can see where some people can think that, I honestly need to say that her going up at a guy and taking his shirt terminator style doesn't make her a villain. Especially in an extended scene which was basically DELETED and isn't canon to the film.
Not to mention that people act as if she's the only hero in a films who's done something bad.
Remember when Batman kills Dude........ and no, I'm not referring to batman v superman.

He literally smiles as he throws a guy down the shaft thing before the dynamite explodes. And people look over this scene a lot.
Or like how superman in Man of Steel destroyed a Guys truck.

I'm aware that the guy was getting touchy with lois, but, superman didn't need to go that far with the truck. He could have maybe left a few big dents in it and maybe shattered it's windows. But, he didn't have to turn it into a shish kabob.
Or even something like The Incredibles.

And trust me, I'm DEFINITELY aware that his boss was pissing him off within one single scene and when he wanted to help a guy, his boss didn't let him. But, he tossed the small man through multiple walls and especially broke every bone in his body............. (the scene is still funny even if you don't look too deep into it though).
One thing people seem to have forgotten is that all heroes act different from one another. That goes for personality, how they act around others, how they do their job and how they develop.
I would also like add in some stuff from someone who also didn't like the scene but, gave their own words on it too.
These are from Pamela E on Twitter.
"While what she did was an extreme reaction that was kinda the point and it's lame they focus so heavily on it. Like she wasn't even really a hero at that point of the movie. She was essentially Winter Soldier for the Kree."
"Seriously, you could take a 2 minute scene out of most hero movies and the good guys will be doing something awful and it isn't made half this much a deal about."
Someone on twitter after these two tweets she gave even brought up the Tim Burton batman films again, asking how many people he killed in them. Palmela then goes onto saying the following.
"Even in the other Marvel movies there's tons of moments that, if taken out of context of the whole movie, look awful. Even Captain America does some breaking and entering and definitely lied a lot on his applications, which lots of people RL go to jail for."
"It's called character flaws. Everyone has them even when they are assets. Women heroes should be allowed them same as men. If this had been A man character threatening someone who essentially bullied him and robbing him, would people be calling for him to do jail time?"
And I would like to add onto this since if we want to go by people's logic that Captain Marvel is a Villain for doing this, other heroes are no different.
*Tony Stark sold weapons in the first Iron Man.
*Captain America stole a car in the Winter Soldier.
*Scott Lang has a criminal record and couldn't hold a job at Baskin Robbins because of it, breaks into a house and steals a suit, broke out of holding, and stole from the avengers during the first Ant Man film.
*Star Lord kicked a small alien during the opening credits of Guardians of The Galaxy.
*All of The Guardians of the Galaxy were thieves, outlaws, and assassins.
And there's more. But, I don't want to drag on. Just Captain Marvel did to a guy who speaking with her when she was minding her own business on as she was looking on a map trying to search for something important, doesn't make the other heroes she's compared to any different. Every Hero in the MCU has gotten their hands dirty one way or another.
Women heroes have ZERO obligation to be perfect lawful good characters, many men heroes do terrible things but are still good at the core. There's more states of being than a Hero or Villain. the world isn't that black/white as people may think it is.
And that's everything I wanted to give on this. As someone who is a fan of the character of Captain Marvel as a whole, I didn't like the scene myself. But, when people try saying that what she did in that scene automatically makes her a villain, I'm sorry, I'm going to call bullshit on that and I'm going to basically show that what she did was no different from any of the other heroes. I wouldn't be surprised if people only tried to say she was a villain from that one deleted and non canon scene just to have more reasons to bitch about Brie Larson and Captain Marvel.
I may have other pages up later. I at least need something to get my mind off this, because the whole argument about about this scene to try and paint her as a villain is dumb as fuck.
