For the people who aren't dutch here stands basically:

I'm hearing impaired, No I'm not deaf
I'm hearing impaired, No I'm not stupid

Belong I to the deaf people?
No they don't understand me
Do I belong by the people who hear?
No I don't understand them.

Without hearing aids I belong to the deafs, with hearing aids I don't belong somewhere.
Being hearing impaired is very exhausting, that doesn't mean lazy

Hearing....Your company is nice, but being alone is less stress.
When you are hearing impaired you are often alone especially when you are in company.

Or someone whispering to you are then you say so often what? That they become frustrated and have to type it for you because you can't fucking hear it. Or the better way and nod and just hope it wasn't a fucking question.

Just try to talk normally and don't yell. Just talk normal. Like talk normal in your own way. Don't talk to slow and not to fast.

Or the ultimate thing. When someone you don't like is talking to you and you are already doing something else.

The thing about this is also when you are doing something else and they don't asked for your attention you can't hear them.

WHEN YOU ARE HEARING IMPAIRED YOU CAN'T DO TWO THINGS AT THE TIME!
(Also for the teachers who don't fuckinh understand this! It's frustrating at some point to explain this to people. Like you can't do something about it. But they just want you to try it while you can't do it!)

Or you are at a party and everyone talks around you. People who are hearing impaired can't filter things. So at some point you gets frustrated and just stand up and walk to your room because you hear three different stories and then someone wants to talk to you and you have no idea what they are talking about. So you just decide that you have enough and walk to your room. Or my solution when I'm at a party. Leaving my hearing aids home.

The problem with this is...Well you know you listen to the teacher but you can't look away from the teache rbecause you are listening and the people around you are signaling each other to go together. But you can't do that. So you are most of the time alone. Or you get a group you really don't want.
