I have a theory. I don't know if one of you read the books of the darkest minds.

But in those books it is that a girl who is a yellow/gold has those powers but she is like shy and doesn't talk much (Her name is Zu) she is basically invisible if she wouldn't have those powers. But when you are yellow you can hear all electronic things and electronic things all everywere you look. Just look around. So it's the opposite of who she is.

With two other boys (In the books they are both blue but in the movie one of them is green (Chubs) and the other is blue (Liam)) one is them (Chubs) is really smart and wants to talk things out when he is in a fight. But when you are blue you can push someone away. The other boy also wants to talk things out when he gets in a fight instead of really fighting. So it's also the opposite of their powers.

The girl who is the main character (Ruby) she is in the beginning 10 and she is basically shy but she wants to be seen by her parents and friends. (If I recall correct she also has some friends. And wants to have someone to talk to) But with her powers you (She is an orange) can tell people to fuck off and let them walk away. Or she can wipe herself out. She just happens to do that by accident with her parents. It's also the opposite of who she is.

The brother of one of the boys (Cole) Is really funny and sometimes wants to talk about it and sometimes not. But he is really nice. He also doesn't really talk that much if he doesn't know you. But he is a red. And then you can control fire. That's basically that one misstep and it's done. And it's also the opposite of who he is.

So what if when you get one those colors it's the opposite of who you are. That's just my theory
