Connie x reader (Attack on Titan)

*3rd POV*

"So, are we all ready for the next round of seven minutes in heaven everyone?" Outwardly trying to keep up her excited persona, despite the way everyone had been responding thus far, Hanji placed her hands on her hips and smiled wide. "I sure hope so, because I haven't come up with any other ideas yet, and at this point, I don't think I ever will."

"I'm ready!" Having only just arrived a few minutes earlier, you were pleasantly surprised to learn that there would be no actual training. When you found out what game you were playing, your hand shot into the air. Really, you would have been eager to play no matter what game it was. After all, anything was better than killing titans.

"Can I be next, please?"

"Well what do we have here? Someone who actually wants to play." Visibly happy about this, as most of the other players had participated begrudgingly, Hanji quickly waved you to the front. "Come on up!"

"Yes! Thank you so much." On your feet the second you got the go ahead, you ran up to the desk and snatched up one of the papers. "And my partner is..." Paper now unfolded, you held it up for all to see. "Connie!"

An all too wide smile on his face, Connie stood up and started towards you.

"It took long enough for someone to finally pick my name. I thought we were going to run out of girls before I got picked."

"Nope, but if you keep talking, we might run out of time before we even get in the closet." Quickly taking his hand in yours, you gave your partner a little tug. "Now come on." Growing a little nervous, as you had now held the attention of your classmates for quite some time now, you began pulling Connie into the closet. Closing the door as soon as you were both inside, you released a sigh.

"I don't know why, but that got really awkward, really fast."

"You think so?" Not awkward or uncomfortable in the slightest, Connie tilted his head to the side. "I don't."

"Well maybe you're immune to being awkward or something." You had hoped that being inside of the closet, away from everyone else would have more or less stopped your blush from getting any worse, but it didn't. If anything, it was making matters worse.

"That's a quirk I wouldn't mind having. It wouldn't be any good when it came to fighting, but it could be pretty handy in other situations like this one."

Half laughing as he spoke, Connie playfully nudged your side with his elbow. "And you said I was talking too much."

"You're right! I totally forgot about the time." Smacking your forehead with the palm of your head, you groaned. "Sorry, no more talking. I promise." Almost as soon as you'd made your promise, you wished you hadn't. Just being in the closet had been enough to make things a little weird, but being in a totally silent one was a hundred times worse. Refusing to break your promise, but unable to handle the silence any longer, you had no other choice but to take control of the situation. Unfortunately, Connie seemed to have the same idea.

Both acting at the exact same time, as there was very little time left of your turn, you and Connie attempted to step closer to one another. The unexpected shock of being so close, so fast caused the two of you to stumble backwards. Tripping over his own two feet, Connie fell to the floor, knocking a large stack of boxes to the ground with a thud. Unhurt, but a little dazed, he started to laugh. "Well, that didn't work out at all the way I thought it would."

Giggling as well, though you had only just managed to stop yourself from falling to the ground as he had, you clapped your hand over your mouth. "I bet."

Having heard the thud, Hanji slowly opened the closet door and peeked inside. "What's going on in here?" Quickly spotting the massive mess of boxes and papers all over the floor, she quickly pieced together the puzzle. "Is everyone still alright?"

With only his pride injured, Connie nodded happily as you helped him from the floor. "I think I'll survive."

"Cadet (L/N) you will clean up your mess!" Levi yelled.

The End!
