Why does it say bacon?

The thing is. The second movie one of the eagle guards asked "does anyone else smell bacon?"

How THE HELL does HE KNOW what bacon smells like?!

I'm not sure if a pig in the movies ever asked if they smell bacon or anything. Because it will be more like, "Does anyone smell BURNING FLESH?"
