She's going as a vampire queen because she always was intrigued by vampire books.

Here is Will's costume:

He's going as a demon because he wants to look mysterious.

Here is James' costume:

He's going as The Phantom of The Opera because of his music obsession. Sorry if it doesn't mesh well with the story!
