Advice and saves
Ranboo had these habits. He had these urges to attack people when they made eye contact with him, he liked picking up blocks, grass blocks being the main block he liked to pick up. It was comforting to him. But he was scared he wasn't going to be accepted by Techno and Phil.
He was aware Techno and Phil were hybrids like him but they didn't have tendencies like him that were related to their hybrid. It concerned him to say the least.
So, he went to Sam to seek advice. Sam was usually really kind and understanding when it came to this kind of stuff so the enderman hybrid hoped he would give the boy some good advice and reassurance.
The treck to Sam's was a silent and enduring journey. The whole way there, Ranboo kept shuffling on his feet, twiddling with his fingers, his nerves right on edge the whole way to Sam's place.
He soon came up to Sam's base, the feeling of breaking down right then and there on the tip of his tongue. He looked over the small area of land that was Sam's home. A small house in the middle of it with a mountain to one side of it. The boy knocked on the door of the house first and waited for a bit, he didn't get a response. He repeated it again, twice, three times. No response for any of them.
He turned his attention to the mountain to the left of the mans house. The teen walked up to a flat surface of the mountain side, walked up to it and knocked on it three times, taking a few steps back afterward.
"Coming!" A voice yelled from the inside of the mountain. A few moments later, the flat surface started to slowly lower to the ground until the entrance to the other males base lay open. A figure was standing just inside the base, a grin coming to his features at the sight of the tall boy.
"Ranboo! Nice to see you. What do you need?" Sam questioned, walking towards the enderman hybrid.
"Hi Sam. I kinda came here to talk about something, I hope it's not too much trouble" Ranboo stated, shifting his weight from one foot to the other.
Sam looked at the tall hybrid, taking notice of the others nervousness. He smiled softly. "Of course, would you like to take it inside?" Sam questioned, gesturing to the interior of his base. Ranboo thought about the offer for a short minute before nodding hesitantly, his tail swishing behind him anxiously.
The creeper hybrid smiled gently at the other before using his hand to tell him to come in to which the other complied. The pair walked through the main lobby of the mans base before heading to another room to one side of the base where it was rather secluded but had a lot of room on the inside with a few chairs and other equipment scattered around the large room seemingly at random.
"I hope you don't mind the mess, I'm still trying to set this room up" Sam spoke, leading the tall hybrid over to the chairs, gesturing for the other to take a seat. The boy did as recommended and sat down infront of the older man, playing with his fingers as he did so.
"So, what did you want to talk about?" Sam asked, sitting up properly, an eye brow raised in curiousity.
"Well- you know how I'm living with Techno and Phil?" Ranboo muttered quietly but loud enough for the armoured man to hear.
"Yes?" Sam responded slowly, his curiousity growing ever so slightly.
"I have these habits. I'll occasionally pick up blocks and on rare occasions randomly produce enderman sounds. Phil and Techno don't know about these habits and I'm scared what they'll think of me when they find out about this little secret of mine...." Ranboo muttered nervously, each word leaving his mouth getting quieter and quieter as the boys nerves rise thinking about scenarios that might happen. Resulting in the teens head looking down at his lap.
Sam processed the boys words for a minute before a small smile made its way onto his lips.
"Ranboo, I doubt they would mind that you have these special capabilities. Techno and Phil trust you and wouldn't mind if you had them, plus, you can't do anything about them so why would they criticise you over something you can't control? They aren't those types of people. Techno trusts you and is loyal to those he considers friends, you included. He may not act like it but he cares deeply about you. And Phil is just Phil, he is accepting of everyone. So you have no reason to fear rejection from either of them, and even if they were to not accept you, they would be hunted down by either me or Puffy. So don't worry." Sam answered smoothly, each word rolling off his tongue like how water rolls of metal. The words seemingly rehearsed multiple times.
Ranboo stayed silent for a moment, trying to find any sort of lie in those words but found nothing. The hybrid slowly lifted his head up to meet the soft eyes and smile of the nan infront of him. The smile was contagious and quickly caused the boy to smile, making the others smile widen slightly.
"Thank you Sam for the advice, I honestly really needed to hear that" Ranboo chuckled lightly, rubbing his neck.
"Its no problem, anything for a friend." Sam replied, his smile not faltering for a second.
"Is that all you wanted to talk about?" Sam asked gently, tilting his head slightly.
"That's all I wanted to ask, I'll take my leave, thank you again Sam" Ranboo repeated, getting up slowly and heading to the door with the creeper hybrid following slowly behind.
"Again, it's no problem." Sam reassured, lightly waving off the others thanks.
Ranboo chuckled to himself before waving goodbye to the other, to which the armoured man happily returned. They both kept waving to eachother until they both were small specks in the distance.
Sam stood in his spot for a moment before chuckling to himself and turning back to his base to hopefully finish what he was doing. Until his foot hit something. The man immediatly looked down at what his foot had kicked and saw a book. The man raised a brow slightly before bending down to pick it up. He inspected the book for a moment and opened up the first page to see Ranboos name on it.
'Must be Ranboos' Sam thought, looking to the way Ranboo had went. 'Should probably return it to him' and without a second thought, the armoured man walked in the direction of the enderman hybrid, his armour clanking against eachother slightly at the movement.
While with the tall boy, he was just walking along the lush fields of grass, hands in his pockets, a relaxed smile on his face. That was until he passed the prison. He tried not to stare at the large structure but it was really hard not to as it covered half of his peripheral vision. So, he just stood in one spot next to the prison, taking in all its features. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary, or so he thought.
Not even a moment later, he heard some pistons move from behind him, causing his ears to perk up lightly at the sound. The teen looked behind him and froze. The person infront of him was that last person he wanted to see, it was Dream.
"Ahhh..... Ranboo, just the kid I wanted to see" the green hooded man muttered, crossing his arms slightly.
"H-how are you here? Weren't you in- no, no. How did you get out!?" Ranboo stuttered, stepping back slightly in surprise.
"I have my ways, after all, I was one of the people that built the prison. So why wouldn't I make a few ways to escape if I ended up in there? Do you take me for a fool?" Dream stated, taking dangerous steps towards the enderman hybrid. Slowly pushing the boy closer to the shore line to the point he couldn't move further back.
"N-no, of course not! I j-just thought you were put far-away for good." Ranboo mumbled, looking down at his feet.
"Now that's crap and you know it, so, I'm gonna need to teach you a lesson. Do you want to know what lesson?" Dream questioned, drawing his sword, getting closer to the tall hybrid.
"N-no?" Ranboo uttered, fear paralyzing him in one spot.
"Its to not underestimate me~" Dream giggled sadistically, gripping the handle of his sword, ready to strike down the enderman hybrid.
"Say goodbye Ranboo~" Dream sneered, raising his sword above his head, aiming directly at the boys torso.
Ranboo shut his eyes, bringing his arms closer to him with his tail wrapping around his leg in anticipation, waiting for the final blow. But it never came. He hesitantly opened an eye, only to be met with the gleaming golden armor of a fellow creeper hybrid.
'Sam' Ranboo thought, relief and happiness washing over him.
The man infront of him quickly pushed the green hooded man back, using his sword to quickly push the green blob to the ground. He kicked the sword from the others hand, swiftly putting the tip of the sword to the bewildered mans neck to keep him from moving.
"This is the last time you'll terrorize anyone on the server Dream..." Sam hissed, pushing the sharp tip of the sword into the masked mans neck, drawing a few droplets of blood.
Dream chuckled, "you can't keep me locked away forever Sam. You should know that more than anyone else here."
"I'm aware, but that doesn't stop me from trying." And when the last word left the creeper hybrids mouth, Sam used the blunt end of his handle and hit Dream in the head, rendering him unconscious.
Sam glared at the limp body for a moment before taking a deep breath and looking at the boy behind him.
"You ok?" Sam asked, shieving his sword and walking up to the tall hybrid.
"Y-ya, I'm fine thanks to you." Ranboo replied, sending a look of gratitude in the armoured mans direction.
Sam chuckled lightly. He then remembered why he was even over here in the first place, causing the creeper hybrid to perk up slightly and reach down into his inventory, scanning through the items.
"I almost forgot why I was even over here. You dropped this when you left" Sam mumbled, taking out a book from his inventory and holding it out for the enderman hybrid to grab.
Ranboo immediatly recognised the book and swiped it from the others grasp, quickly flipping through the pages before a quick sigh left his mouth. He held the book firmly to his chest for a moment before looking at the other.
"Yes, this is mine. This is my memory book, I wouldn't know what I would've done without it. Thank you so much Sam" Ranboo voiced, clear relief evident in his voice.
Sam giggled slightly at the boys reaction before bending down and getting out rope he so happened to have on him at the time and started to bind Dreams wrists and ankles together.
"Its no problem, really. I don't think any of us want you to lose your book if it contains everything you know and love." Sam stated, quickly finishing with binding Dreams wrists and ankles together, lugging the mans limp body over his shoulder easily.
"Do you want me to walk you home? It's probably safer for the both of us if I'm being honest." Sam asked, using his hands to gesture to where Ranboo was heading.
"If it's not a problem, then sure" Ranboo mumbled embarrassed, rubbing his arms slightly.
"Alright, lead the way!" Sam voiced, quickly following the enderman hybrids lead.
The walk back to Ranboos small shack was....pleasant. Light hearted talking through out the small trip, causing Ranboos nerves to ease tremendously. The journey to the teens home seemed shorter than usual, most likely from having company to talk to. But he didn't mind, just meant he got to get closer with Sam.
They talked about anything and everything that came to mind, thoroughly enjoying each others company. Ranboo learnt a lot about Sam and vice versa. The boy had learned that Sam, in his free time, liked to read and sit in his room in silence, enjoying the peace and simplicity of it all. While Sam learnt that Ranboo liked to hang out with his pets and generally being in the company of another being, a person or animal. He didn't like to be alone for long periods of time.
The pair soon came across Ranboos small shack, it standing in all its glory. The two were both a little disappointed that their nice chat had to be cut short but they both knew Sam had to get back to the prison and patch up any holes that Dream had made as well as any potential escape exit needed to be sealed.
The two didn't wish eachother a goodbye with their words, instead, they both sent eachother a firm nod and wave of the hand. But just before Sam turned to head off, Ranboo rushed up to the creeper hybrid and gave him a gentle hug, being mindful of the body slung over his shoulder. Sam was a bit startled at first but returned the affection with a small pat to the head. The boy let go of the older man, a soft smile present on his lips. The creeper hybrid returned the smile with one of his own before heading off for real this time.
They both waved to eachother as Sam disappeared further into the distance with Dreams limp body on his shoulder. When Ranboo couldn't see the armored man any longer, he got his book out and went to his friends section, grabbing a pen as he did so.
He scribbled down a name under Phil and Techno.
Sam was a friend, Ranboo knew that now.
