~Chapter 12~
I pushed my food around the plate aimlessly and sighed. Setting my fork down I sniffled and rested my chin against my hands. Papy looked at me with a worried glimpse and Chara seemed to be doing the same. Ever since I disappeared from Snowdin, Error had me trapped with him in the void. I'd been so worried about everyone. But even now, as I sat in my home once again it felt even worse. (Y/N) had saved me, but it cost her own freedom. She pushed me from danger when that Blaster hit but whatever happened to her seemed to do real damage. She seemed so... numb when Error whisked her away.
Papyrus sighed and stood from his seat. "Come on you two. We can't just sit and mope. (Y/N) wouldn't want us to." He said sternly.
"Don't talk about her like that!" Chara snapped, drawing surprise from my sorrowful expression. "Don't..." Her voice quivered. "You make it sound like she's dead."
Papyrus was silent a second, then chuckled. "Sorry Chara, didn't mean to upset ya. I just mean that if she was sitting here with us she'd be teasing us about being a bunch of sad sacks. We'll find her. Don't worry. But not eating won't help."
I sighed and pushed away my plate. "I'm sorry Papy, but I'll eat later. Right now I need some time to think."
"Sans..." He said gently, but didn't move to stop me.
I retreated upstairs and into my room. When I saw my reflection in my mirror I couldn't help but feel disappointed. "Who am I kidding?" I mumbled. "I'm no guard. I can't even protect my friends."
I discarded my battle body and looked at the plain clothes beneath it. Averting my eyes from the shame, I turned out the lights and crawled under the sheets of my cool bed, burying myself in the layers of warmth. "Maybe sleep will help me think this over."
It was almost instant as my eyes closed. My eyes closed, and when they opened again I gazed out over a familiar white expanse. My breath stopped and my stumbled, looking over the antivoid. "What... no... I'm not back! This isn't possible!" I cried.
A steady hum seemed distant and my head whipped in its direction. Turning around completely, a speck of color painted the canvas of expanse. It was too far to make out, but at least it was something. My legs broke into a run. I was tempted to call out in its direction but the chance of Error being close by was too great.
I closed the distance gradually, my confusion growing as I did so. It was like a landscape had been painted and pulled into the third dimension. Everything had a wisp like grain on it. It was pulled from the pearly surroundings like a building that breaks miles of field.
I approached it slowly and tapped gently on the wall. It was solid. "Hello?" I said gently. "Anyone here?"
Shuffling surrounded me and I choked back a yelp. I watched the shadows around me shift until I finally saw rope like yarn in the dim lighting. "Is someone there?" A quiet voice parroted.
The shelter seemed to shutter, the oversized yarn disappearing like retreating serpents. At the edge of the light appeared a figure. It was definantly feminine, in both its shape and the way it stood. Her body was covered by a large hoodie, unzipped. Below her hoodie sat a large, multicolored sweater. She wore jeans and only had one battered shoe. From her right side it looked as if her clothes had been infected, tones of red, gray and other tones eating their way over the fabric. Where it touch her sweater was the worst, the rainbow of shifting colors seeming to be attacked by violent streaks of obsidian. Her hands were hidden beneath oversized sleeves.
I immediately felt more at ease knowing it wasn't Error, but this newcomer to the void still scared me in a different, more curious, way. "Hello..." I said gently. "Who are y-"
"What is your name?" She interrupted. I stood confused for a moment, until bright red illuminated the darkness. The words 'Loading Error...' littered her flesh. "Y-Your name..." She stuttered. "B... B...."
Her body swayed gently and fell forward. In a panic I rushed to her as she fell forward. She fell to her knees, hands hiding her face as she shook. "B... B.... B...."
"Hey! Don't worry about it." I said hurriedly. "How about this. My name is the magnificent Sans! And I'm your new best friend."
The white expanse around us changed instantly. Dark consumed it, the only light being the one around us. It reacted with her emotions, meaning it couldn't be the same antivoid that trapped me. She stopped shaking, humming lightly. "Sans...." She hummed. "Blue... Sans is.... you're not Sans." She grit her teeth. "No! That's wrong! Blue... why don't I remember!"
"Blue?" I asked. Realizing what she meant, I rested my hand against her shoulder. "Do you mean Blueberry?"
She froze. "Blueberry..."
I chuckled and smiled. "That's my nickname. A lot of my friends call me that." I paused, and furrowed my brow. "But how do you know that?"
"Blueberry..." She hummed again. "Blueberry..."
She pulled back the fabric of her jacket and revealed a thin, stained paintbrush. Beside her a string of bright blue appeared. Pressing it against the string, the whiskers of the brush changed color. Quickly she pressed it against her arm and wrote the name.
"Um, excuse?" I said gently. "But how do I know you exactly?"
"I don't know." She admitted. "I remember, specks. But the antivoid consumed my memories I think. I don't remember.... I don't remember..."
The flash of bright words reappeared and I panicked. "Don't worry!" I reassured. "The magnificent Sans will help you retrieve your lost memories. Now just tell me your name."
She raised her head and it's shadowed features were revealed, causing me to fall back. Her hood fell back as her head fell to the side in confusion. "Name...?"
(Y/N) sat before me, flesh corrupted in dark ashen colors. Her right eyes mimicked Error's, but it seemed glossed over with dead emotion. Her hair had changed, becoming pitch black yet to darker. The left side of her face was seemingly unharmed excepted for the obvious pain. Her normal eye held a toxic mixture of emotion, like she was trying to hard to remember something just out of her reach."
"(Y/N)!" I gasped. "What did he do to you?!"
She froze completely. It was like a mask had been thrown over her as her expression completely fell. "(Y/N)... my name is (Y/N)."
It was as if she broke as tears slid down her face. "How did I forget? My own name... why don't I remember? Why can't I remember?!" She cried.
I clasped my hands on each side of her, shaking her gently. "I'm so sorry (Y/N)! We'll save you. I promise we will!"
More errors appeared around her body. "Blueberry... who is that? Who is (Y/N)? Why don't I know?!"
"Calm down!" I begged. The building shuddered around us. I blinked and the ghost of my room flickered in my eyes.
"I'm dreaming..."
"(Y/N), I'm waking up. Don't forget your name and don't forget mine! We're coming to save you. Ink is helping us to find. Just hold on!"
"Ink..." She said quietly. "Error doesn't like that name."
She looked at me with hope in both eyes. "Please, take me away."
"P-Puppet-t! Wakey Wakey!"
She flinched away and the world around us started to shatter. She looked at me in panic. "Please! I want to remember."
She pulled me into a hug and I wrapped my arms around her, squeezing my eyes shut as I hugged her. "Don't worry..." I said with determination. When I opened my eyes again, she was gone. Everything was. "We will."

Your eyes flung open and you sprang upwards, smacking Error directly in the face. You rubbed your nose as he fell backwards with a loud thud.
"Hey! W-What was that for?!" He yelled.
"You were the one standing over me!" You snapped back.
"You were s-s-sobbing! It w-was a annoying!"
"I was crying?" You asked quietly, probing your face and coming away with multicolored wet. "Oh..."
You remembered your dream vividly, but you could just barely recognize your visitor. His name was Sans, but when he said Blueberry it felt so much more familiar. He was important to you. Why?
"Hey! E-Earth to Puppet? Co-ome on." Error growled in an annoyed matter.
He grabbed your arm and yanked you upwards. You winced, pulling your arm away and rubbing it gently. "What the hell?! What do you want?"
He growled in a low and threatening tone. "Just follow m-me." He instructed.
A shudder scaled your spine and you followed him in your better judgement. "Mind telling me what you want?" You asked, annoyance dripping from your words.
"I-It's time for your first j-job." He hummed ominously. "Behave a-and nothing ba-ad will happen."
You shuddered again and nodded, following a few paces behind. Your eyes remained glued to your hands.
That Blueberry person... I need to see them again. I need to know what I'm missing... I need to know (Y/N)...

Upon waking, I sprang to my feet and darted from my room, making a beeline for the downstairs. Papyrus was long passed out on the couch but that didn't matter to me. What mattered was contacting Ink.
He'd given us a special bell that he'd be able to hear through the dimensions, since the sound would come out of the identical one he had with him. Taking the bell from the table where we left it, I shook it as hard as I could.
Papyrus shot awake at the loud tinkle of the bell and we heard it as Chara rolled off her bed at the sound. It only took a few seconds, but soon a portal ripped open in the middle of the room.
"I got your signal! What happened?!" Ink asked, eyes wild as she looked around.
"Yeah Blue, what's going on?" Papyrus asked.
I smiled broadly as I looked at Ink. "Ink, I think we might have a better chance at finding (Y/N) than we thought."
"What?! What did you do?" He asked.
"I just spoke to her! She's still in the void, but it's weird. She can't remember anything, but she looked like she recognized me when we saw each other. She knows she isn't supposed to be there! She just doesn't know how to get out!"
Ink's eyes lit up with hope as he smiled. Pulling up a chair, he nodded. "Tell me everything."

You were confused as you worked, finding it uncomfortably easy. At the moment, you stood holding open a portal. From where you stood, all you could see was a stalagmite ceiling hanging over a snowy village, warm yellow light seeming to radiate from the whole of it. It felt comforting to look over the town for some unknown reason. Error wouldn't tell you what it was called, saying it was irrelevant.
You would've abandoned post to investigate the familiar setting, but Error warned that the portal would close. He promised a reward if you cooperated. You couldn't help but feel curious though. "Maybe if I just..."
"P-Puppet!" A familiar voice snapped, making you jump. "Prepare to c-close the portal."
"Okay!" You nodded, relaxing your magic hold so it would be easy to sever the bond.
He approached faster than you could process, the only evidence of him getting closer being the cries of protest coming from his side. Angry cries filled the sky as a hot laser pierced the air, just barely missing Error and his captive. "What the hell?!" You yelled. "What're you-"
Error swung into the void portal and sent you a chilling look before looking back out the portal. "Close it now!"
"Error what are you doing?!"
"CLOSE THE DAMN PORTAL"
You froze, then snapped your hand upwards. The portal dissolved instantly and you stood facing Error. "Explain what the hell you just did." You ordered.
"You d-don't give the order he-here puppet." He snarled. "J-Just take care of this one."
He threw something to the ground before him then stood and left, leaving you alone. It groaned in frustration making you yelp in surprise. He stood slowly and you kept your distance. When you saw his face, you found yourself with the same familiar surprise. His face wasn't too different from that of Error or Blueberry. It was like Blueberry going through an Emo phase at anything.
He looked around himself for a few moments then cried out in rage. "WHERE THE HELL AM I?!" He raged.
Your face flushed as you realized just what your 'job' was. "We just kidnapped a person..." You gulped.
