It was late in the afternoon when Taehyung reached his home after his trip to Busan. He had returned to the dorms with Jeongguk and hugged Jimin for exactly one hour until the scent of Jeongguk was much less evident. He had also made sure to spill all the details of his first time to the beta, who responded with screams and giggles and shouts of happiness for his best friend who finally lost his virginity.

As he expected, he was welcomed with his mother's scolding about how he hadn't even called them once and "why didn't you answer your phone? I had to call Jimin and that boy answered!". His father had been silent for the most part. However, Taehyung could see the disapproval from the way he watched the omega. He had been out of his house for almost three days, after all.

"Your sister came home yesterday and you weren't even here to greet her" Taehyung's mother scolded.

"Yeojoo is here?" Taehyung exclaimed, dropping his bag on the floor. "Where?"

"Right here!" a female voice came from behind Taehyung, making the omega whip around to look at his older sister smiling at him.

"Yeojoo!" Taehyung grinned and ran to hug her.

Yeojoo embraced him back. "You missed me that much- hold on" the female alpha paused her sentence, drawing away from Taehyung, leaving him confused.

"What?" Taehyung asked, looking at her face with confusion.

Yeojoo knitted her eyebrows together. "Nothing. Just felt weird"

"Weird? How?" Taehyung muttered with a pout.

Yeojoo shook her head with a forced smile. "I just haven't seen you in more than six months. How have you been?"

Taehyung shrugged, looking at their mother who watched them. He saw his father making his way to his study and Taehhyung looked back at Yeojoo.

"Same old"

"You must be tired. I heard you went on a college vacation with Jimin. Get some rest and let's talk later"

Taehyung nodded. "Okay"

The two of them parted ways and Taehyung walked to his room, closing the door behind him. He threw his travelling bag on his bed. He needed to clean his clothes himself because he didn't want his mother to catch up on Jeongguk's scent on his clothes when she puts his clothes in the laundry.

He was about to shed his clothes and rush into the shower when the door of his room clicked opened, revealing Yeojoo. Taehyung was confused as to this sudden entrance and his eyes widened when the alpha shut the door behind her, turning the lock.

"What-" Taehyung started but Yeojoon advanced towards him and pressed him against the nearest wall.

"Yeojoo!" Taehyung exclaimed.

Yeojoo didn't budge. Taehyung could feel her scent thick in the surrounding air; that cinnamon and peppermint. She pressed herself against Taehyung's body, her figure towering over him by a few inches and reached for the neckline of Taehyung's sweater. She pulled it aside, revealing his neck and shoulder. Yeojoo pressed dived in, her nose almost brushing against his scent gland and Taehyung whimpered, fisting his hands in her shirt. He couldn't help himself as he slightly bared his neck for her to take a deep inhale of his scent.

Taehyung grunted after seconds. "What the fuck are you doing?"

Yeojoo drew away with an expression of surprise. She stared at him.

"What?!" Taehyung exclaimed, fixing his sweatshirt, annoyed.

"What did you do to yourself?" She asked.

"Huh?"

"You... you have an alpha"

Taehyung blanched. "W-what? O-of course I do" He gulped, biting down the gasp he almost let out. "I'm supposed to get married to Seojoon"

Yeojoo laughed. "Not him"

"Mom and dad want me to get married to him so h-he's my-" Taehyung was cut off once again with Yeojoon pressing against him to take a deep inhale of his scent straight from its source.

"Stop being a creep!" Taehyung grunted.

Yeojoon smiled at him with amusement. "An alpha knotted you"

Taehyung's mouth dropped open. He felt his knees growing weak and he gulped. His heart raced in his ribcage and Yeojoo continued to watch him with amusement.

"And it was recently" She continued. "Was it last night? The scent is so fresh"

"What the fuck are you talking about? I'm unmated!"

"Yeah I know but you were knotted"

"No!"

"Oh yes," Yeojoo grinned. "I'm a young alpha. I'm in my prime age. My senses are heightened at this age. Mom and dad might not catch it but your scent had changed. There's this change of scent of an omega when they get knotted for the first time. When an omega loses their virginity. Your scent changed because that new scent is now added to your usual scent. It's so faint, Taehyung. But I can feel it. I'm sure your alpha can too"

"I d-don't know what you're talking about"

Yeojoo laughed. "Besides, you smell like some alpha. Hugging Jimin didn't work this time. It's because you took that alpha's knot and were with him for the whole weekend. I know he didn't mark you but your wolf had taken his scent mark"

"W-what? You mean people can smell him on me?!" Taehyung exclaimed.

"Someone like me, who has a keen sense of smell can. And besides, I know what your scent. We're siblings. So I can feel that change. It's most probably different from mom and dad because their alpha senses aren't as sharp as before"

"Right" Taehyung muttered with a sigh of relief.

"So who is he?" Yeojoo grinned. "And I can't fucking believe you actually lost your virginity before marriage!"

"S-shut up!" Taehyung whispered. "Be quiet!"

Yeojoo laughed. "My little bro is all grown up now"

"Fuck off. I just like him so much"

"You're dating him?"

"He started courting me recently"

"Wow, a true gentleman. Is he half-breed? True alpha?"

"True alpha" Taehyung whispered with a sigh.

"Wow! Show me!"

Taehyung groaned and fished out his phone. He unlocked it and opened the hidden folder of his phone, where he keeps all the pictures he had taken of Jeongguk and the selfies they took. He showed the pictures to Yeojoo, who started laughing with excitement.

"You really scored yourself one fine alpha, huh?"

Taehyung smiled shyly.

"What's his name?"

"Jeongguk" Taehyung muttered.

Yeojoo's grin faltered. "Wait...Jeongguk? Jeon Jeongguk?"

"YEah? Do you know him?"

"Um... I've personally never seen him but I heard that he's quite a player"

Taehyung felt his heart clench in his chest. "W-what?"

Yeojoo gulped. "I mean... I have a friend... beta guy who slept with him"

"Y-yeah I know he's dated people in the past"

"No like... he's into one-night stands mostly, I've heard. Like he fucks and goes"

Taehyung furrowed his eyebrows together. "Jeongguk isn't like that. He..."

He loves me.

"What?"

"He likes me a lot. He's courting me. I know he cares about me"

"Yeah...yeah I'm sure he does" Yeojoo muttered. "Will I get to meet him?"

Taehyung nodded. "He got kicked out of the bar downtown because he beat up a guy that tried to touch me"

"What? Sounds like a keeper!"

"I know! He's not a player. B-besides he told me he has experience"

"Yeah, I can understand. I'm sure he feels something serious for you"

Taehyung nodded. "I was thinking about asking dad whether his band could come to perform at our pack event next month. You can meet him then"

"I wanna meet him. I hope dad lets them"

Taehyung nodded. "Yeah"

"What about Seojoon?"

"I don't like him... not like that. I can't marry him" Taehyung whispered desperately.

"Yeah, it's pretty obvious even before I left. I mean you two grew up together. But you really can't get out of this, can you?"

"Do you know of any way?"

"Maybe if Seojoon's parents get to know that you're not pure anymore?"

"I can't expose that! It would be a disgrace to our family as well!"

"Yeah. And I'm the next leader of our pack" Yeojoo sighed. "What if we tell them that you can't have kids?"

"That I'm infertile?"

"Yes!"

"But male omegas are the most fertile species!"

"I know but what if we spread the word that you're infertile? It would be a rumour. Not factual knowledge. So they will be hesitant to take you into the family anyway and they might eventually break off the marriage. Because you're no use to them if you can't bear the pack leader's pups. It's okay if they break it off. It would be shameful if it was us, from the omega's side"

"Oh my god" Taehyung whispered. "You're a genius"

"Right? I'll think more into this and come up with a real plan"

"I love you"

Yeojoo rolled her eyes. "Now go and ask if Jeongguk can come to the event"

A long shower, a few times of scrubbing himself clean to get rid of any remains of Jeongguk's scent and a perfume bath later, Taehyung found himself in front of his father's study. With a deep breath, he knocked on the door.

"Come in" A deep voice came from the inside.

Taehyung pushed the door open and stepped into the dimly lit space, its four walls covered in shelves filled with books. In one corner, by the massive wooden table sat Taehyung's father. The table was lit up with a lampshade that was sufficient for him to do his work. However, the rest of the study was so dark that you can't make out the names of some books.

"Taehyung" The alpha greeted him with an unamused voice.

Taehyung smiled, closing the door behind him. He remembered spending hours on end inside here before he presented as an omega. When he was a child. His father used to have him on his lap and read him books.

"Father" Taehyung whispered as he walked towards the large wooden table.

"How was your trip?"

"It was great" Taehyung smiled. "Jimin and I had so much fun"

The man hummed. "Good to hear. But I don't approve of an unmated omega as you staying away from home for that long. Especially someone like you, who was promised for someone else"

Taehyung gulped. "I'm sorry"

The alpha looked back at the few books that lay in front of him. "What is it that you have to tell me?"

Taehyung took a deep breath. He sat down on the chair in front of his father before he started speaking. "Do you remember the alpha you saw me with a few weeks ago?"

The man looked up from his books. "The one I saw you sneaking around with?"

Taehyung's mouth dropped open. " I wasn't sneaking around with anyone! He's not even a friend of mine. Just a batchmate"

"Is that why you're here in my study, which you never visit now, asking a favour for him?"

Taehyung groaned. "I'm not here to ask you a favour for him"

"Then why are you here?"

"He's a true alpha, remember?"

"Yes. Did he accept the request to join our pack?"

"N-no. I didn't ask him about it"

"You should. He would be a great addition to our pack. He could marry a good omega from our pack and we could have more true alpha pups. We need more true alphas. It's just me, your mom, your sister and two more from the Lee and Kwon family. Not even remotely enough for the biggest pack in Deagu"

Taehyung hummed. "His father is a pack leader too"

Taehyung's father rose his eyebrows at that. "He's the next pack alpha?"

"He should be but there is no pack anymore. I mean... they aren't like us. Their pack was dismissed a while back. But if it still existed, he'd have been the next leader"

"That's an added advantage. If he joins our pack, I could give him a position close to me. When your sister becomes the next pack alpha, he could work by her side"

Taehyung looked down at his hands on his lap. "He could" If he marries me, not any other omega.

"So yes, what about him?"

"He told me has a band. I've heard them play at a school festival before" Taehyung lied. "I think they're really good"

"And?"

"I think they would be perfect to play at our pack gathering next month"

The alpha hummed. "Is that so?"

"Yes"

"I will have to take a look into them. Could they play for me and the organizing committee sometime?"

"Yes! Absolutely!"

"Set up a time. If they perform well, I will choose them"

"Okay. I will tell Jeongguk that"

"Are you close with him?"

"What? No, not really. He just told me about it when I met him at the library this week"

"That he wants to perform here?"

"No, that he's looking for more events to perform at"

"I see"

"I'm sure you'll love them!" Taehyung grinned.

"I will decide that after listening"

"Okay! That's what I came to ask you" Taehyung said, standing up.

"I knew you wanted something from me when you walked in here"

"I didn't! Just wanted to find you a good band"

"Right. Run along now. You've wasted enough time. Aren't your exams coming in two weeks?"

"Yes. I need to study" Taehyung sighed.

"Run along then"

Taehyung turned around walking back to the door. Before he reached it, he turned around.

"Oh, dad" He said, making the alpha look at him. "We also need a photographer, right?"

"Do you have another recommendation?"

Taehyung grinned. "Yes"

So Jk might actually come to gathering and meet the family and Seojoon ;) It could give him a chance to win Taehyung's family's hearts, don't you think? 😏
