H A R R Y -

I woke up in a daze. The dreams were transforming into something more vivid and real every night. I woke up many times almost feeling her presence radiating in my bedroom. I'd wander my house needing to shake off how guilty and numb I felt. Pacing back and forth between my furniture and lost in my own static, I felt her close again.

I was going crazy. I couldn't bear to be awake. I was terrified to sleep. In my mind, her visiting my dreams and invading my room, were bad signs. The dreams were so realistic. They felt like memories instead of subconscious messages.

She was dead, wasn't she?

"Harry! I'm here, darling," she calls out, the harsh air making her shiver.

Everything is covered in frost, but the grass is the brightest green. She's wearing a gray sweater that falls mid thigh. Elena looks unafraid, her hair dancing in the wind.

"Elena, are you staying with me?"

I take her hand and she smiles in relief. "Of course, why do you ask me that?"

"You just keep leaving me. I miss you so much."

Elena and I begin to walk towards a giant tree who appears unimpressed with the cold air. She leads the way.

"I don't want to keep leaving you, but its too late."

She slows down her pace. "Here, let's lay down. It'll be like the good old days."

I kneel down and sit on the ground, waiting for her to move closer. Instead, she lies down and I can't resist. I scoot closer and lay next to her. Our hands tangle together and she faces me.

"Where would you like to be?"

I close my eyes. "In my bedroom, warm and safe together."

"What else, baby?" Her voice cracks.

I sniffle, taking her body in my arms. She buried her head in my chest.

"I wish we could run away and never have to lie to anyone about who we are to each other."

"I'm sorry I can't be with you."

"I know. I just need to find you."

"You're almost there."
