"What can you tell me about the party?"

"It was for Emily Merrick. She was known to have the best parties and it was the last one before she went off to bootcamp."

I write down her name though I know it's not useful, she has been cleared by pretty much everyone, including airport security.

"I saw Elena coming in with her boyfriend. She wasn't really the party type, but he was giving her drinks. He joked around with me at the bar that they were to loosen her up."

I cringed. "Any idea for what?"

Mina shook her head. "I don't really know. Look, Elena is my friend. We might have grown apart but I still love her like a sister. I don't know why i'm being questioned again, I told you everything."

I chose to ignore her sudden outburst, but jotted some of her key words down. "Why do you think you grew apart?"

Mina looked annoyed, crossing her arms over her chest. "She stopped answering my calls, never wanted to see me anymore."

"When did this happen?"

"Around the time she moved in with her boyfriend. He's an ass."

I raised a brow, another person who isn't the biggest Zayn Malik fan. "What can you tell me about him?"

It wasn't enough to put the blame on him, but enough to question him.

"He was always very controlling over her. He told Elena that he was working and he was always at the bar I work at," Mina sighed, "I couldn't tell her. I never could reach her. That night at the party I wanted to talk to her, but she seemed so out of it."

"Out of it?"

"Yeah, she seemed not herself. She was drinking the whole night and I didn't see her leave. Thing is, Elena doesn't drink, it makes her sick... that, and well.. There was rumors going around that she was pregnant."

My heart must have sunk to the basement. "Where did you hear that?"

"Elena's sister. I think she was, which was why I'm telling you something weird happened that night. She was stumbling and drinking a lot, she'd never do that. Especially if she was pregnant."

"Why didn't you tell me this before?"

"I just found out a few hours ago."
