Drabble #1
Ah, movies.
Gotta love them.
I'm not allowed to watch rated r movies, unless my parents give me the all-clear.
So far that's only happened to one movie:
Anna and the Apocalypse. It's a zombie movie, which means there's a lot of gore, but honestly there's less gore than I thought. Plus, besides one song that (didn't add like, anything to the plot :/) was mildly uncomfortable, nothing sexual. If there was anything more than that, I wouldn't be allowed to watch it.
You see, my mom is okay with gore, as long as it's not excessive.
Story time-
My parents were planning to show my brothers 10 things I hate about you (great movie btw). At this point, brother one is 13, I'm 14, and brother two is 12. They go to a site called common sense, not the essay but it's really helpful for determining what movies kids should watch. Usually it's accurate, but this time, it wasn't as accurate (everyone's different and for my family it wasn't accurate).
The website will suggest a minimal age kids should be when watching the movie.
10 things I hate about you- 14
Dirty Dancing- 12
My family thought it was kind of funny (at this point I'd see both movies) and we had a good laugh before watching 10 things I hate about you.
Also,
Heath Ledger did an amazing job and it's crazy to think that one minute he's playing Patrick the love interest and guy who pays the band to help proclaim his love in the best scene ever-
To the joker in the dark knight. Oh man he was a good actor.
This doesn't really have a point anymore, things kept spinning.
I'm definitely going to make chapters about my favorite movies-
Why am I putting this here?
I don't know.
