Right so, we all have our fangirl/boy obsessive moments don't we? There's that one (or more) actor, actress, singer, or whatever that you swoon over.

I get it, I have them too. I am after all human as well. Also, not dead.

However, I draw the line when I find out the person has addiction problems they aren't dealing with. If you can't get your life together, can't overcome and deal, if not for your own sake then for your family who loves you, I can't find it in me to feel for you.

Drugs are a choice you make. A person chooses to put that junk into their system. No one held a gun to your head (seriously please, no one start writing me little love notes saying, "How do you know that?" cause the likelyhood of it happening that way is miminmal and if you can't understand that then I can't help you understand it) and forced them on you.

So when I hear about actors and singers and stuff dying from drug overdoses and people gushing about how great a person they are and how wonderful and talented they were, it annoys me. They may have had talent, but in my mind they flushed it down the toilet and people going around praising them is a bad thing to do. It shows impressionable young people that you can screw your life to hell and people still throw cash at you and praise you, instead of condeming the addiction that killed them. It's like all of a sudden it gets ignored that this person basically killed themselves with their addiction and that really bothers me a lot.

I'm simply sick of people getting praise for screwing up when others who do good are ignored. There are tons of talented people out there who are worthy or praise. A lot of whom have overcome adversity and made their life better. Robert Downey Jr. is one, he overcame his drug addiction and he's a fabulous and talented actor. Him I will praise till I'm blue in the face because he realized the path he was going down was the wrong one, took responsibility, and straightened his life out.

Find the good ones and heap praise onto them. Don't praise wrongdoing, it does none of us any good at all.
