Okay so I'll be the first to admit that I'm a sucky speller. Spell check and I are close pals. Having said that, one thing that annoys the living daylights out of me is people who make extremely obvious spelling errors or that use words incorrectly. It makes me want to bash my head into a wall. 

For instance, I see this a lot on Wattpad and I want to smack people upside the head for it: 'Thanks for fallowing me!' It's following people! Fallowing is something totally different and certainly not what you mean! Ever hear someone talk about a fallow field that's left unseeded? Yeah, that's what fallow is. 

I read for people, review, and edit a lot; I had a girl with her main characters walking down the beech holding hands. Wrong use of that beech, that spelling is a tree. She wanted, of course, beach. Sand, waves, pretty sunsets hovering over ocean waves.

Then there are the people who use smelt as the past tense of smell. Something else that makes me want to hit people. Smelled is the past tense of smell.  Smelt is either a tiny silver fish or a way to fuse metal ores together, totally different!

Some others are, mourning instead of morning. If you don't know the difference you might get yourself in trouble there if you wish someone a good mourning ... trust me on that. People use Assay instead of essay, you assay something to determine its quality (metal for example), and you write an essay.

One that is easy to screw up is definitely and defiantly, and only because if you spell either of them wrong in the first place spell check might correct it to the wrong one you didn't want to use to begin with and you might not notice. So at that point I can only tell you to read your sentence before moving on or your character might be defiantly insisting on something instead definitely insisting. This probably won't work out so well, depending on how you wrote out the scene.

Everyone makes mistakes, we're human, right? But let's try not to make really obvious ones, okay people? The human race looks stupid enough on so many occasions, let's try not to appear any dumber, shall we?

I HaTe wHeN peOplE TyPe LikE ThiS It'S anNoYinG. Yeah and also really really hard to read. Especially if you have vision issues to begin with. If you type out something like this know that I will skip it and not read it because it gives me a migraine. So please type normally, cause that isn't cute.

If you want to be an author and taken seriously ... Don typ ur book in text-speech. Dis ain't cute and no 1 is gunna take u seriously if u try and publish this trash.
