If a klutz falls in the desert ...
Right so, I am a huge klutz, if there's a way to trip over something I'll find it. And do it without even trying hard at all!
I tripped over a parking block on the way into Knott's Berry Farm and spent the rest of the day wandering around the amusement park with a huge gash on my knee. Great times. Also, if there's a way to get sick I'll find that too. Though strangely enough, the Coronavirus has avoided me thus far, hopefully, it will continue to do so.
Today (6/29/20) was an epic day, it started out pretty normal. I got up, had my coffee and bagel (which I do every morning), and then about an hour later I suddenly became extremely hot and felt nauseous. That was not a typical part of my morning. Fast forward to about one o'clock and my stomach gave up the fight and I threw up. Not fun, but I felt much better after that. So of course, cue the new ailment's arrival. I had what my eye doctor refers to as a visual migraine. Basically something disrupts your vision. Usually, it's a spot in my vision that looks like a circle of TV snow (If you don't know what TV snow is, go Google it) Today it was a pretty little prismatic triangle. Pretty, but also annoying since it was smack in the middle of my vision.
As I've told everyone, currently I drive for Uber Eats. I was worried my epic morning might keep me home, but I felt better by about two so I got ready and headed out. Everything was cool, it was semi-busy and I was making cash.
We know what that means, right?
Time for an epic failure of my walking skills!
I was making a delivery and headed up the driveway and for the walkway to the front door and BAM hit the ground and rolled. My glasses even went flying. It was a fall worthy of a stunt professional. Except they wouldn't have been injured. Turns out at the beginning of their walkway there was a small two-inch high step. Between the fact it was in the shade (and I have transition lenses on my glasses which are pretty dark so going from sun to shade makes it difficult to see sometimes) and I can't see directly down with the stupid face mask on, I tripped on it and went down hard.
The best part about this entire thing isn't the cut and swollen knee ... no, no, it's the fact these people had a ring doorbell ... if the video ends up on Tic Tok or Youtube or any other social media I want sponsorship. No one can faceplant like I can.
