Good Or Bad? Who's To Say!

What makes a good person? How we do know they're good? Even good people make big mistakes. Aren't we all just anti-heroes living life and trying to get by? Can normal (non-murdering, non-psychotic, non-extremist) people still be considered bad? Who says who's good and who's bad? How do we know?

A little something called intentions. Good people can do bad things, but if the intention/apology is sincere and they learn from their mistakes and grow from them, then their mistakes are part of being human. The irony is, we'll never truly know whose intentions are pure and whose are not. Actions speak louder than words, and by having good intentions, wanting to do what's morally right, and being accountable and understanding we see human beings who are less selfish and more aware of others. We also find people who are more willing to help, own up to their mistakes and live their life a little more aware of the world around them.

Still, everyone's definition of good and bad people is different, so truly, maybe it's a fluid question to ask. Or maybe it doesn't matter at all, and surrounding yourself with people who believe in you and think you're a good person is all you truly need. But then what happens when you're face to face with someone you don't like, but someone else does? Do you suck it up even after giving them a chance? Are you a horrible person for not liking them after all the bad things they did? Does that just make you a hater? I believe the answer to these questions relies on how the person interacts with someone they don't like. Fire and fire create a larger fire. Be the bigger person.

To end, here's a friendly reminder: bad people can still do good things. Even Hitler donated to charity. Don't feel guilty for cutting someone off or not liking a person cause they're bad, but have done some good things. There's a difference. Just think about it...
