Chapter 1: Just a normal day
*Third Person*
Thor was absolutely bored. For the past three hours he has been standing next to his Father and Mother listening to Nobles from outlying villages bring their problems to the King. Thor had a very short attention span, so standing there for three hours didn't sit well with him. Loki would be better at this then me. Thor thought, he froze. It's been a year since New York. Loki is locked up beneath Asgard...alone. Thor felt guilty for not visiting Loki, but after Loki's trial, Thor was banned from visiting him by the All-Father. That didn't end well either, the All-Fathers decree cause Thor to become angry causing an argument between Thor and Odin to happen...Thor lost.
Thor sighed, before he was rudely pulled from his thoughts. "Thor, what do you say about this matter?" He questioned. Thor looked up quickly and glanced at the nobles and other representatives of the outlying villages. "Uh..." Was the most intelligent thing he could say before quickly glancing at his mother with a pleading look on his face. Frigga looked at him with disappointment in her eyes, yet she quickly answered him before anyone realized that he wasn't paying attention.
"How do you think Lord Bjarne could handle the problem of a food shortage?" She asked, looking at Thor expectantly. Thor then pondered the question for a few minutes, before giving his answer "This is due to the draught, yes?" He questioned, trying to gain the information he missed out on.
"Yes, your highness." The Lord answered.
Thor took a breath before continuing. "What is the amount of food that you give out to the villagers?" Thor continued.
"We give them the required amount, sire." Another noble added. Thor, even though he was not the smartest person around, he could see the problem and was beginning to find a way to put the solution together. "Cut the portions down to a half of the original amount. If that is still too much, and there is still a food shortage, cut it to one third. In addition to dropping the amount of food, lower the price, so the people don't have to pay full price." Thor finished, with a small smile on his face, feeling rather smug over his well thought out resolution.
The members of the counsel looked at each other before looking up at the All-Father expectantly. The All-Father seemed to be thinking about the solution for a second before facing the crowd.
"Lord Bjarne, follow that out. This meeting is closed." He said, with a quick wave of his hand, dismissing the crowd. With in minutes, everyone had bowed to the royal family and quickly left the throne room. Thor sighed with relief, before sinking to the floor. The last problem for the day! Odin looked down at him a frowned. "Thor stop acting like a child." He said.
Frigga just smiled at him. "You did good, Thor." She spoke.
Thor beamed up at her before speaking. "Thank you, mother." He said, before a comfortable silence fell on the Golden family. Which was quickly broken by the sound of the warning bell going off. Thor stood up instantly, his hammer, Mjolnir, came flying to his hand. The sound of running feet met their ears.
"Guards! What is going on?" Odin shouted. They got a surprise when Hiemdall, the Gatekeeper showed up, not the guard they were expecting.
"Sire, something is wrong in the prisons!" He said, worry laced his voice. Thor's stomach dropped to the floor. Fearing the next words he knew were going to leave Heimdall's mouth. Heimdall took a breath "Loki is lost from my gaze."
That's when everything went hectic.

A/N
Hello, Rae here! So I hope I didn't bore you. If liked the first chapter please let me know, I'll add another. This is pretty much a test drive to see how one of my stories might go! But I will continue this story if you like it. Thank you!
Also! I got this story idea from Hiddlespies. They wrote a story called Stainless. It's in my Reading List. I recommend it to any Loki fans out there!
