"Nikki, get up!!" Vicki yelled through my consciousness.

I pulled the covers around me tighter not wanting to get up. Soon they were violently yanked off of me.

"For the love of god it's like your a brick wall, yeah I'm related to a brick wall." She muttered.

"OK I'm up I'm up!!" I yelled as I jump to my feet as swift as a cat. "Who died and made you boss anyway? I'm older remember?" I said as I made my way to my duffel bag and pulled out some stuff to were.

"I get to be boss when your to lazy to even get up!" She said annoyed.

"I'm not lazy, just a well rested individual" I said happily.

"Yeada yeada yeada.. Just hurry up" she said as she plumped a plate of food down on my bed. "Eat!" She ordered.

"Alright mom!" I said sarcastically but lost my smile as my sisters face fell.

"Sorry." I muttered feeling bad for bringing up our deceased mother.

"Don't be sorry, just be ready. We get a chance to kick our teachers butts today!" She said happily.

"More like have them hand you yours on a silver platter." I huffed thinking back to the time I once did teacher student day.

She rolled her eyes at me and tossed me the brush before she came over herself, and ripped it out of my hands. She starting brushing my hair herself, violently yanking my curly blonde locks

"Your really excited about this?" I asked

"Duh" she said then ripped the almost empty plate out of my hands and tossed it into the sink.

"Time to go" she said as she yanked me up on my feet and dragged me out of the tent.

Today was the day, the big day for all the 15-16 year olds here, At this age you are evaluated to see what kind of potential they hold. When people talk about that day they talk about how I kicked everyone in my age Groups ass, but I never let it go to my head, after all I failed the final-round, but then again everyone does..

I blinked quickly as my eyes adjusted to the bright sun. Vicky looked around and smiled happily as she noticed all the other hunters up and about. They all started to walk to the open Field, I however was being dragged by my all to excited sister.

"Good morning" Eliana, one of our head hunters announced to the crowd. Soon after the other elders said the same.

"Good morning." The younger hunters such as myself announced back in unison.

"Today is the day you get to show off what you got" Jared said

Jared was one of the best hunters around, the other being his wife Eliana of course. They were the power couple of the century, and so beautiful that there baby's would look like Hollister models if they ever decided to have any.

"Today is also the day you discover what you have left to learn." Eliana added. "Being a hunter comes with responsibility and respect for others, not a know it all, cocky attitude." She finished looking straight at tyke, one of the well known jackasses of these parts.

"Alright, let's start with parring you off two by two's. You all know the drill. The winners face the other winners until there are only two left, in that event the two winners face me, and Eliana." Jared said

"Even though today you are facing each other, I want you to have the bigger picture in mind. Everything we have taught you, we did to prepare you for the outside world so remember, punching, biting, or hair pulling is out of the question. It won't do you any good facing the monsters outside these walls, and it certainly won't do you any good in here. Being a good hunter is all about stealth, Agility and reflexes. To take any Creature down it must be done quick and fast. Toying around is unacceptable because while your letting them have it, your friend might be getting his insides torn out. So kids, Being aware of the situation is a key factor in getting everyone home safely."
Eliana said.

I had to Admire the woman.

Once they pared everyone up the battle began, round after round my sister was kicking ass!! What could I say? It's genetic.

As the last round came to a close I wasn't surprise to see my sister straddling over a defeated fellow hunter. She wore a proud smile on her face as she got up and offered her hand down for the girl to grab. "I'd rather get hit by a bus" she spat as she rolled to her feet and ran off.

"Congratulations Vicky! You have really proven yourself today!" Said Jared.

"Now who is the other winner?" Asked Eliana.

Jared looked back and saw tyke with a smug smile plastered on his face.

"Who do you think?" Tyke said with a wink as he walked away from the twisted body on the ground.
"What? I didn't punch claw or pool on anything.. It's my simple ninja skills that did the trick."

I rolled my eyes at him as he headed over to Jared, Eliana and Vicky.

"What, don't I get a congrats?" He asked as he smirked.

"No, you get to fight me" Eliana said.

"Shouldn't I be fighting the boy darling? After all I don't feel like being the one to fight the little girl."

"I'm not little" Vicky interrupted instinctively. Soon she realized how rude she'd been and thought it best to add a "sir" behind it.

Eliana smiled at my sister then looked back at tyke.

"He moved to my top most annoyed to hell with list.. Please darling. She whispered her for only them to hear.

"Alright, let's begin"

Once the fighting began I didn't see tyke and Eliana at all, although I did hear what sounded like tyke getting his ass handed to him which I couldn't help smiling about. My attention however was on my sister, I watched as she smoothly blocked Jared's attacks and even through a few of her own in. He seemed very pleased with her training however after some time Vicky was clearly out of breath, Jared didn't even break a sweat. I glanced over at tyke and noticed that there fight was already over, Eliana had her foot pressed down on his chest with a smile of victory.

"A for effort" she whispered

I looked back to Vicky and noticed with one swift Motion Jared pulled her around and pressed her back into his chest into a lock hold. It was over, he won.

She however wore a smile of victory "had you going there for a Second didn't i? She said as he let go and turned her around to face him. He smiled "yeah kid. You did."

Just then the sound of sirens blasted through camp. I saw our Police radio watcher, Timmy run straight to us.

"We got what appears to be vampires robbing a blood bank," he yelled from across the Field

Jared and Eliana turned to all of us at the same time and said "it's time to move out!"
