What Is Going On?

*8 weeks later*
*September*

Things at the Lewins settle back into a routine. Isaiah started his new school two weeks ago and he loves it.

He has made new friends and the program he was in was a great program for him to be able to keep up with his classmates learning wise. If he had trouble with his school work, they would take extra time to help him.

Charles was currently out of town on a business trip. He was currently in Chicago working on a new building. It was going to be a law firm and he was getting payed really well for this job. He would be gone for a month.

Before going on this trip, Charles asked for a raise and his boss granted it to him. Charles had always been a good worker and his designs have always been the best.

Hannah is back in her dorm room for her second year of college. She still visits her family every weekend.

Margaret still is seeing her therapist and is doing well. She still has the occasional nightmares and still needs her sleeping pills. But she was so glad to be doing better.

While Isaiah is at school, Margaret spends time alone at home or goes out to have lunch or a cup of coffee with some friends. She still wasn't ready to go back to work.

Margaret got dressed for the day once she came back home from taking Isaiah to school. She chose a blue blouse and jeans however, her jeans didn't fit her.

Margaret raised an eyebrow. These jeans had fit not too long ago. Also, when she put her bra on, it felt snug. Margaret sighed and chose a red sundress.

Currently, Margaret and Khaila were out having lunch today.

Khaila was now working at a counseling center to help others with their addiction. She was still learning what it takes to help others, but this was a step in the right direction. She was also taking classes so she can become a certified counselor. But her ultimate goal was to become a therapist.

They looked at the menu and Margaret couldn't decide what she what she wanted. Although before leaving the house, she was set on this restaurant because she knew what she had wanted.

Now for some reason, she wasn't feeling well. The smell of the foods around her was making her feel nauseous. So, she wasn't sure what her stomach could handle now.

The waiter took their drink order; Margaret asked for a glass of water and Khaila asked for an iced tea.

They received their drinks a few minutes later, and they placed their order.

"I thought you were going to order your usual?" Khaila said.
"I was....but I don't feel well all of sudden." Margaret said. "I don't know what's going on. So, I'll just stick to the Caesar salad I ordered."

Suddenly, another waiter passed by with a plate of food and the smell hit Margaret like a ton of bricks.

Margaret paled and she breathed in and out trying to not throw up. But she lost that fight and stood up quickly. She rushed to the bathroom and made it just in time.

As soon as she got into a stall, she turned and emptied her stomach into the toilet bowl.

After a few minutes, Margaret had made sure she wasn't going to throw up again. She stood up and walked out of the stall.

"Margaret? Are you okay?" Khaila asked worriedly as she entered the bathroom. "You look pale."

Margaret nodded as she rinsed her mouth out at the sink."Yeah...I...I don't know what happened." She replied.
"Should we take our food to go?" Khaila asked. "We can eat at your house?"

Margaret leaned onto the sink and sighed. She did feel out of sorts and she nodded. "I think that would be best. I'm so sorry, Khaila."
"It's alright. I just want you feel better." Khaila said.

They then leave the bathroom and find their waiter. They ask him to make their food to go and he nods.

They wait at the table for their food and Margaret just tries not to think about the smells around her.

Finally after fifteen minutes, the waiter brings them their food and they pay. Khaila and Margaret walk out of the restaurant and as they got to Margaret's car, Margaret'a vision blurred.

"Margaret?" Khaila asked.

Margaret leaned on her car and closed her eyes. "I, uh, I'm feeling a bit dizzy. What the hell is going on?"
"I'll drive us home." Khaila said as she grew more worried. "Come on. I'll help you to the passenger seat."

Khaila quickly put their bag of food in the back seat then helped Margaret into the passenger seat. Margaret closed her eyes and laid her head back on the seat.

Khaila drove them home and by the time they got there, Margaret was feeling better.

"I'm feeling much better." Margaret said as they ate their food. The salad settling her stomach. "Gosh I'm starving."
"You had me worried." Khaila said. "Maybe you see your doctor? You know, just to be sure nothing serious is wrong."
Margaret shook her head. "No, I'm fine now. Honestly I am." She said with a reassuring smile. "I guess I just needed to eat something light or maybe it was just a moment I had. I promise I feel better."

"Well, alright." Khaila said. "You do have color back in your cheeks so, you must be feeling better."
"I am." Margaret said again trying to convince Khaila. "Anyway, how are things going with you? Have you and Eddie set a wedding date?"
Khaila smiled and nodded. "We have. It's going to be March 10th. Eddie and I wanted to know, if Isaiah could be the ring bearer?"
"Awe! Of course!" Margaret said. "He'll be so excited to be a part of your wedding. This is so exciting."

They continued their meal and the rest of the day, Margaret felt fine.

The rest of the week however, Margaret would experience the same symptoms she had before. They would come and go throughout the day and she just couldn't keep anything down. It seemed to be getting worse. Especially the dizzy spells.

Although, there were moments, where Margaret would get cravings for certain foods and she would be able to keep it down for just a moment.

It was now a Saturday and Margaret had spoken to Charles. He would be visiting next weekend to spend time with his family. She couldn't wait. She missed him just as much as she missed him.

She hasn't told Charles about her being sick. She knew he would worry too much and being far away in another state, she just wanted him to concentrate on his work. Also, she promised herself that she would make an appointment to see her doctor on Monday so they could figure out what was wrong.

Isaiah was currently in his room playing with his toys and Margaret was making dinner. Khaila, Eddie and Hannah were coming over to join her and Isaiah.

Margaret was making spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread. She was craving garlic bread at the moment and couldn't wait to eat it.

However as she was making the meatballs, the nausea returned. She turned away for a moment and breathed through it. She was able to finish making them and put them away for now.

As the spaghetti was boiling, Margaret sat down at the kitchen island that was in the middle of the kitchen. She put her elbows on the counter and rested her head in her hands.

"What's going on with me?" Margaret whispered to herself.

Suddenly she sprang up and rushed to her bathroom.

Tears rolled down her cheeks and she threw up. She couldn't understand what was going on with her.

Margaret emptied her stomach then she flushed the toilet bowl. She sat on the ground, her hand on her stomach and the room was spinning.

After some time, Margaret knew she had to get up and finish dinner. Plus she needed to check on Isaiah. She stood up and freshened up. She brushed her teeth then walked out of the bathroom.

But as she was about to walk out of her bedroom, Margaret's vision blurred. The room continued to spin then suddenly everything went dark.
