Chapter 11 (edited)
A/N: happy holidays to all my readers I hope you have an amazing Christmas! 😘😁☃🎄
Yuuri,
if you're reading this then you must still be in a very tight spot, but I'd like to tell you how things are right now. Victor arrived not too long ago along with your son, Yuki, he's a very special baby and he looks so much like you. He's a bit ill at the moment but I know he'll pull through.
Victor on the other hand doesn't quite look so well it scares me not knowing what he's thinking, he pulls on a smile stating that he's okay, but I know he's struggling. That's how I know how much he truly loves you Yuuri. After finding out that you were okay I was so happy, but then I found out you had a bit of amnesia I immediately started writing this letter, I wanted you to know what was happening because your family is in danger of falling apart, even if you don't understand what's going on I still want you to know.
If You still don't understand after reading this note then I hope that you keep fighting to return, but don't push yourself too hard I know that eventually everything will turn out okay, I love you.
From your loving mother
Yuuri's eyes scanned over the page rereading the words once, twice, and then again until they hurt. "Mom..." Yuuri sighed and placed the note on the nightstand, after their visit he had been thinking and processing a lot of things, he refused to see Angela. Just the thought of her was enough to scare him, yet he didn't know why. He hugged himself, he missed the feeling of his son in his arms. His son.
He shook his head, to believe that he had a son, one moment he's just waking up and the next he finds out he has a son. It was a lot to take in especially when he didn't know what was going on or who the people around him were, he didn't even know his son's name, he almost forgot his family's name but memories of his far past, his childhood, had thankfully stayed with him.
He sighed and lied down, he would soon be released from the hospital and surely Angela would be waiting, now what would he do? Angela wasn't his wife, but she at least seemed friendly in a way. She was the only one that hadn't scared or startled him the day he woke up confused and dazed, but convincing him that they were married? Wasn't that a bit too much? Was there a reason she said that?
He sighed once more, his head was constantly aching and throbbing it sometimes became too unbearable to handle and he had to call for nurses. Now he was numb with painkillers and extremely drowsy he yawned loudly and drifted off to sleep with the thoughts of Yuki, and Victor.
----------------
Victor woke late at night with the sound of Yuki's cries the baby was bawling his eyes out, his face was bright red. "Oh no, it's okay my love. It's okay." Victor scooped Yuki up into his arms and rocked him. "I know you miss him, I'm sorry I can't bring you to him." He apologized and carefully climbed off the bed, Yuki kept on crying it hurt Victor so much. There was a knock at the door. "Come in," Victor called out in a hushed tone Hiroko appeared with something in her hand she walked over to Victor and carefully took hold of his free hand placing a key in his palm. "The room should calm him down." She stated and bid him a goodnight before returning to her room.
Victor looked down at his hand, he knew what the key belonged to and which room it was he gathered his blankets and patted Yuki's back as he trudged out the room stiffly walking down the hall where the door at the end of the hall stood silently Victor had to take a breath to calm his nerves, Yuki had eventually quieted down, his cries were diminished and were nothing but whimpers and hiccups. "I'm sorry Yuki I really am." Victor kissed the top of his head and unlocked the door.
It opened with a low creak and a cool breeze brushed pass Victor's feet he shivered and stepped into the room switching on the lights. The room was bare almost empty the walls were plain and littered with tiny holes, right where the posters used to hang proudly, the bed was made and untouched. "This is mommy's room Yuki," Victor told his son and went over to the bed where he made a safe and comfortable spot for Yuki to sleep in he reluctantly climbed onto the bed and drew the covers over himself and his son.
Yuki had immediately calmed down, his whimpers were now silent and his eyelids drooped. "Of course this room would calm you down." Victor smiled glumly and stroked his son's hair. "In some odd way I'm relieved too, I'm more at peace here." He mumbled and turned on his side facing Yuki who now drifted off to sleep. "And it seems you're at peace too." He smiled and fell to sleep.
The next morning Victor woke up with the sun hitting his face he had turned over in his sleep, he sat up and looked to his side. Yuki was gone. His heart dropped and he quickly scrambled off the bed nearly tripping as the blankets tangled up on his legs he threw the blankets off of him and ran out the room. Arriving at the kitchen he sighed in relief when he saw Yurio feeding Yuki who sat on a high chair. "You've gotten messy." Yurio chuckled and wiped away the food stains from Yuki's cheeks.
Otabek suddenly hugged Yurio from behind burying his nose in the nape of his neck. "Morning beka." Yurio smiled and turned his head to kiss his boyfriend. Victor smiled and stayed quiet not wanting to ruin their moment after they pulled away Victor decided to step forward. "Good morning you two, thank you for feeding Yuki Yurio." He chuckled as Yuki threw the plastic spoon at him. "Pa!" He yelled happily and giggled. "I heard him babbling to himself earlier, and well you needed your rest so I took him," Yurio explained.
Victor smiled and nodded at him. "Thank you Yurio, I know it's still early but can we talk about your plan?" Victor asked curiously and took his son from the chair. "I really didn't understand, you want to break Yuuri? Will...." Victor frowned and hugged his son. "Will that hurt him?" He mumbled. Yurio frowned. "It depends on how be deals with problems." He replied. "Problems?" Victor questioned. "We have to remind him of the problems he had back then, it may be harsh for him to remember what he used to do to himself, and honestly I'm a little scared. But maybe the old Yuuri, our Yuuri will resurface." Yurio explained as Otabek gathered Yuki's dirty dishes.
"But what about Angela?" Victor asked, Yurio suddenly went rigid and all color drained from his face. "Yurio? What's wrong?" Victor was suddenly worried, Otabek was immediately at Yurio's side taking his face in his hands. "Yuri," he spoke in a firm voice. "Look at me, you're safe I promise." It was then that Victor remembered how Angela and other students had hurt Yurio, he never really explained how they hurt him or what they did, but Otabek knew. He knew everything.
Yurio eventually snapped out of his daze. "I'm fine." He reassured his anxious boyfriend, though he really didn't look it, and looked away. "That stupid...." he stopped himself remembering that there was now a child in the same room as him and sighed. "Witch." He finished. "She's the one causing the problem huh? I should've known." He growled, Yuki giggled at Yurio's face and tugged at his father's hand.
Victor laughed trying to ease the tension and handed his son over to Yurio who really needed some comfort. "I think you're a great big brother Yurio, thank you." Yurio blushed and grumbled under his breath as he hugged Yuki. "Do you really think that'll work?" Victor asked. Yurio sighed. "I really don't know, it was just an idea of mine." He stated. "Since you know Yuuri was known as the person with the biggest glass heart." Something suddenly clicked in Victor's mind.
He remembered a time before Yuki was born, a time where both Victor and Yuuri were both new to love, a time where he had kissed Yuuri on the ice rink. It was sort of an apology from Victor to Yuuri after he broke his heart which was very fragile then, was it still as fragile as it was before? Victor cleared his mind sparing himself from the pain. "If it might work, even if it's just a little bit, I'll be willing to participate. To help." He nodded to Yurio.
Yurio looked over to Otabek who held onto his arm as if to keep him steady, or to just let him know that he was safe. "It's dangerous with her." Otabek frowned. "What's so dangerous about her? What can she do? Stab me?" Yurio joked, but Otabek wasn't having it. Just the thought of Yurio getting hurt was enough to tighten his grip on his arm. "Don't joke around." He warned. "She hurt you without being caught, she can still hurt you in many ways."
Yurio frowned and pulled his arm away from Otabek's grip. "I can take care of myself, I'm not weak." He stated. "I know that, but she knows your weaknesses, Yuri, if she was able to hurt you back then what's stopping her from hurting you now?" Otabek was surprisingly persistent for someone who barely showed any type of emotion, Yuki and Victor could already feel the tension between them. "Why can't you see my strength Otabek!?" Yurio yelled, his face was flushed red.
"Because I'm your boyfriend I'm supposed to see both your strengths and weaknesses. And she's one of your greatest weaknesses, Yuri." Otabek kept his voice low not wanting to make matters worse for him. "Shut up you don't know everything about me okay!?" Yurio gritted his teeth, his arms shook, Yuki whimpered and broke into a fit of tears reaching for his father. Victor slowly and cautiously took Yuki from a heavy breathing Yurio. "Yuri please calm down." Victor pleaded as he held his crying son.
Yurio looked at Yuki, his heart dropped at the sight of his little piglet crying, all because of him. He then looked over at his boyfriend, his heart shattering when he saw the pain in his eyes. What had he done? He took a step forward. "O-Otabek I-" He was cut off when Otabek lifted his hand to stop him. "It's fine Yurio, just..." he paused to take a breath. "Cool off a bit okay? I'll be in the room." He mumbled and turned away from him making his way to the room with heavy footsteps.
Yurio reached for Otabek but quickly stopped himself and dropped his gaze, his heart ached so much it felt like it was being stabbed numerous times with a hot iron, he bit his lip mentally cursing at himself. Victor placed a hand on his shaking shoulder, Yuki had stopped crying as soon as he saw his older brother slump his shoulders. He was reminded of his father, and how he would always do that whenever he was feeling down.
Yuki reached for him no longer afraid, Yurio looked at him with wide watering eyes and took him into his arms. "I'm sorry piglet I didn't mean to yell." He apologized. "I'm sorry Victor, sorry you had to see that." He mumbled guiltily. "I really do have a short temper." He chuckled sourly hating everything about himself. "It's okay Yurio, it's normal for couples to fight every now and then," Victor reassured the teen. "Otabek is really overprotective, and you're very outgoing. I can see why it must be hard for him to catch up to your level." Victor smiled. "He really loves you Yurio." He stated.
"He's so afraid of you getting hurt, that's why I also want you to understand his point of view." Yurio frowned in confusion. "Just imagine Otabek getting hurt, and that something really scarred him. How would you feel if he chose to go back to the thing that hurt him?" Yurio flinched. "I would hate it." He stated in a firm tone. "And it would hurt..." he trailed off, grasping at his heart. "Like now." He whispered. Victor nodded. "He's hurting too Yurio." He said.
Yurio pursed his lips and handed Yuki back to Victor. "I have to go, I'll get you later piglet," Yurio promised and ran to his room, Victor smiled and played with his son's hand messing with his tiny fingers.
------------
Yurio ran into his room, the first thing he saw was his boyfriend sitting at the edge of the bed looking down at his phone. "Otabek..." Yurio whispered his throat tightening, Otabek looked away from his phone and stared at Yurio. "Ah...Yuri." He muttered and averted his gaze. "I'm sorry!" Yurio leaped and threw his arms around his boyfriend's neck burying his face in his shoulder. "I didn't mean to hurt you, I'm sorry Beka I really am. Please, don't hate me. I really do love you, I love you with all my heart Otabek Altin!!" He shouted with a bright blush on his face.
Otabek held a shocked look and then he smiled, his chest rumbled with low laughter slightly shaking Yurio. Otabek placed a hand on Yurio's back and pulled him even closer against his chest leaning in close to whisper in his ear. "I love you more Yuri Plisetsky." He then pulled away lifting Yurio's chin up and leaned down, both shared a passionate kiss.
---------------------------------
Yuuri shook his head at Angela's explanation. "I don't understand..." he mumbled. "My parents came to visit! I got to hold my son!!" He shouted. Angela shook her head taking hold of his hands. "Yuuri honey..." she sighed. "You slipped into a deep sleep after that man Victor came to first visit you. You never got to hold your son I was right beside you as you slept, and while your mother dropped off the letter" She stated and bit her bottom lip faking the look of concern.
She sighed. "But if your family refuses to tell you the truth then I will." She looked at him. "Yuuri that man Victor, you married his sister. She was my best friend Yuuri I loved her and that baby more than my own life. But she passed away during your child's birth, and then you had your accident. I couldn't bear the thought of you being all alone so of course, after her death, we were destined to fall in love, about to get married too. Your family is trying to spare you the pain by telling you that you're married to Victor. But that's not true, your baby was given to Victor, sweetie if what your mother wrote is true, then Victor is not well enough to care for your son. You'll be released soon and will have a stable job and house, once you do you can take your son back."
Angela smiled placing a hand on Yuuri's cheek. "Besides..." Yuuri stared at the woman in front of him.
"I've always wanted a baby."
