Prolouge

Taffy woke slowly from her not so peaceful slumber. She's recently been having dreams or nightmares that she always can't remember.
She tossed aside the leaf for a blanket. Taffy stretched her wings. She yawned and looked around at where she was. In a tree. Or at least she thought.
Everything was blurry to Taffy. She sighed.
Taffy sat there trying to remember where she was going. Then it hit her. "I was going to get glasses." She whispered, grabbing a satchel.
Taffy jumped down from the tree. Adjusting the satchel she got into a stance of preparation and jumped. Her wings gave her a powerful boost and Taffy was in the skies.
She squinted her eyes a bunch to find the place where her friend described to.

"It's in the middle of the River Forest." Taffy thought of what her friend, Weyuo, said to her.
"And the way you know where it is is because it's in a pink tree."
Taffy scanned the blurry area. A small pink spot was just over the horizon. Taffy started flapping her wings faster. But the pink spot started to move. Taffy was shocked but followed it anyways.
The cloud bat started to dive towards it. A small screech emitted from the spot. It was another cloud bat. "Don't hurt me!" It yelled. Taffy quickly started flapping her wings to prevent crashing into them. "I'm so sorry. I can't see. I just s-" The cloud bat cut her off. "It's fine, really." Taffy frowned. "But I mistook you for the place to get glasses....." She mumbled. The bat laughed. "It's fine really. Come on, I'll help you." The bat turned around and started to fly away. Taffy quickly followed after them.

The pink bat spoke up. "Say where ya from?"
Taffy breathed in. "Just East of here."
The bat laughed. "My friend, No one lives east anymore. The mountain are being covered in snow!"
Taffy frowned. "I just was born there... I don't live there in the 'mountains'."
"Well where then? Fire Forest or Flower Plains?"
"Flower Plains."
"Still barely no one lives there. You can't get Glasses for NearSighted bats like us." The bat went on about glasses. "Everything is so modern over here compared to the other places. We have good food, no one bothers us, it's prefect!"
"How many people live here?" Taffy asked.
"Many but they're all spread out. Hate to be rude but are you a Grey ear or Blue ear? I couldn't tell from the five seconds looking at you."
"I've always been told I was a blue ear. I haven't really seen myself before."
"Aw... Well anyways we're here."
The bat dove down to a pink tree. Taffy gasped and dove after. She landed on her feet next to the bat. The bat put a hand on her shoulder. "You just go in there and you get yourself some glasses." They pointed to a door inside the tree. "Thank you." Taffy went off into the tree.
Went she stepped inside, a strong scent of lime filled her mind. Taffy shook it off and proceeded to talk with a purple and grey Bat.
They appeared to be reading a book.
"Ahem..." Taffy said softly. "I'm here for some glasses."
The bat acknowledged her and handed Taffy a paper-ish thing. Taffy stared at it. "I can't read..." She noted quietly to the bat. They sighed, took it and scratched things off. They took and looked at Taffy dead in the eyes. "You go into the room behind me, grab glasses then you will come back and pay for them."
Taffy nodded, shaking a bit. She started to walk in. The room was full of blurs to Taffy, a green blur spoke to her. She walked over, looked at it up close and put it on.

She smiled and skipped out. Everything was still clear. She walked to the grey and purple bat. "Oh perfect then. That's going to be 300 sunstone." They said, not even looking up from their book.
Taffy reached for her satchel, it wasn't there. She spun in circles panicking. The grey bat looked up. "Uh... Ma'am?" Taffy glanced at the bat. She could probably out fly her. Taffy breathed in. "I was robbed." And immediately ran out. The grey bat jumped from her chair and ran after her.

Taffy kicked the door open and took off into the sky. She didn't look back. Taffy just kept flying forward into the east.
The grey bat shot up in front of her, screeching.
This caught Taffy off guard. She flailed, kicking the grey bat in the face and started falling.
Taffy looked down. There was a forest. One she's never seen before. The ground was coming up fast. Taffy looked up. The grey bat was also falling. Then Taffy hit her head on something. Everything went from black to blurry. The last thing she saw was a faint yellow color before passing out.
